In his first mock draft for the 2016 NFL Draft, CBSSports' Dane Brugler has the Redskins taking Alabama defensive tackle Jarran Reed with the No. 22 overall-pick.
Last season, the Washington Redskins made it a point to bolster their defensive line.
The Redskins retained veterans Kedric Golston, Chris Baker and Frank Kearse while acquiring Stephen Paea, Terrance Knighton and Ricky Jean Francois through free agency.
This offseason, CBSSports.com's Dane Brugler believes the Redskins will continue to add to their defensive line, taking Alabama defensive tackle Jarran Reed.
"Although he doesn't receive the same attention as others on the Alabama defense, Reed is built like a vending machine and is just as tough to move from his spot. The Redskins have used veterans to fill the nose tackle spot, but Reed would give them a long-term option," Brugler writes.
Reed, a senior out of Goldsboro, N.C., was selected as to the All-SEC second-team as he currently has 53 tackles.
Reed also has 4.5 tackles for loss, two passes defensed, a fumble recovery and a sack.
In two seasons at Alabama after transferring from East Mississippi Community College, Reed has appeared in 27 games with 108 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, seven passes defensed, two sacks and a fumble recovery.
