With mock draft season in full gear as the offseason has officially begun, USA Today's Luke Easterling has the Redskins selecting LSU defensive back Greedy Williams with the 15th selection in this year's draft.
Along with Josh Norman and Quinton Dunbar, Williams would provide a third corner in the Redskins defense that would severely boost a veteran unit, and would allow defensive coordinator Greg Manusky to further enhance his defensive scheme.
"Trading away Kendall Fuller left a huge void in this secondary," Easterling said. "But this scenario would present a perfect opportunity to remedy that. Williams still needs some polish, but he has the size, length and athleticism to develop into an elite cover man at the next level."

Williams, only a sophomore in 2018 continued the tradition of Defensive Back University (DBU) as one of the top lockdown corners in all of college football. The 6-foot-3 corner started all 23 games of his career with eight interceptions during that span. He became the first LSU player since Craig Steltz in 2007 to lead the SEC in interceptions.
The top freshman cornerback in all of college football in 2017, he started every game at left cornerback for the Tigers, totaling six interceptions for 32 return yards while accumulating 38 tackles, 17 passes defended and 11 pass breakups. His 1.3 passes defended per game were amongst the best in the country, as Williams was the third player in the SEC since 2008 to lead the league in passes defended and interceptions.
He started all 11 games at cornerback helping an LSU defense that led the SEC and ranked No. 11 in the nation in interceptions with 16. In 11 games, he recorded 33 tackles, two interceptions and nine pass breakups. Williams also enjoyed a career-best 10 tackles in a win over Ole Miss, intercepted passes in back-to-back games against Southeastern Louisiana and Auburn, and tied a career-high with three pass breakups in a win over SEC rival Arkansas.
According to his Draft Network profile, Williams' "athleticism, size and length all appear to be top-notch. Mirror-and-match skills to play in man coverage. Does a great job working through/around a receiver to contest the catch point. Has the speed to carry vertical threats. Attempts to look back and plays the ball. Frame and physicality to play press. Quick with his hands and can knock receivers back at line of scrimmage. Fluidity in all directions is excellent, as well as his ability to reach top speed in an instant. Typically in press man, but click-and-close from off coverage is excellent. Legit ball skills down the field, or breaking on routes underneath."
