Behind a new management team including President of Business and Chief Operating Officer Brian Lafemina, Chief Marketing Officer Steve Ziff and Senior Vice President of Consumer Sales Jake Bye, the Washington Redskins announced on Wednesday fan-focused enhancements for the upcoming season such as preferred concession pricing for Season Ticket Members and upgrades to the overall fan experience at FedExField in Landover, Md.
"Our goal is to serve our fans in a first-class manner each and every day by putting them at the center of every decision we make. It begins with listening to them and continually cultivating and improving their experiences throughout the year," Lafemina said. "We're excited to provide all Redskins fans with immediate access to Season Tickets, which will help us create the best home field advantage in the NFL."
With a revamped season-ticket process, fans will no longer be required to join a wait list before purchasing tickets. Instead, tickets will be available to fans on Wednesday, June 13 at 11 a.m.
This new structure eliminates barriers in getting access to tickets to Redskins home games.
To secure season tickets, fans can visit www.Redskins.com/tickets or by calling representative at 301-276-6800. Season Ticket Membership plans start at $759 including tax and offer fans the best available seat locations at the lowest available price, directly from the Redskins.
Additionally, Season Ticket Members will receive preferred concession pricing for all food items throughout FedExField during games. On top of the discounted pricing on concessions, Season Ticket Members will receive benefits such as interest-free payment plans, complimentary NFL RedZone and Game Pass and exclusive access to offseason events such as Member Happy Hours and the annual Fan Forum.
These members will also be able to join the team's Redskins Rewards program through the official Redskins app (available on the App Store and Google Play) or through www.RedskinsRewards.com.
Fans will be able to use the Redskins app for all ticketing, allowing for quicker entrance into the stadium and they will be able to redeem points in the Redskins Reward program as well.
"Our mission is to provide the best possible experience for our great Redskins fans throughout the year," said Bye. "This starts on game day, but extends to every interaction we have. We will listen to our fans, be accessible, and work tirelessly to elevate their experience in every way we can going forward."
As part of this fan-focused initiative and through feedback the team has received from Fan Forums conducted in recent seasons, the gameday experience will be enhanced for the upcoming season.
New additions to the team's home stadium includes a new Fan Pavilion in the West End Zone. This pavilion will feature a renovated bar space with exclusive sights of the playing field along with HD screens showing that week's action around the NFL.
This season, the Redskins will open up their regular season home slate in Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts and 2012 No. 1-overall pick Andrew Luck. The next week, Washington will host the Green Bay Packers and two-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers.
In Week 6, the Carolina Panthers will come to town after making the playoffs four of the last five seasons before Washington faces the Dallas Cowboys the next week. Then in Week 9, the Atlanta Falcons enter FedExField having won at least 10 games in each of the last two seasons.
Houston will then come to town for the first time since the 2010 as Washington will face the Texans in Week 11.
In the final two home games of the season, Weeks 14 and 17 respectively, Washington will match up with the New York Giants and the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
