Alex Santos
Pro Scout 5th NFL Season/ 5th Redskins
Alex Santos enters his fifth season with Washington and his third as a pro scout. In addition to the advance scouting of Redskins opponents, Santos is responsible for assisting with the club's evaluation of personnel in the NFL and CFL. He originally joined the Redskins in 2006 as a pro personnel assistant.
Santos spent 2005 as a graduate assistant and quality control/offensive line intern coach at Vanderbilt University. Prior to that, he was the assistant head football coach at Eastside High School in Paterson, N.J. At Eastside, he also coached the offensive line, directed the strength and conditioning program and was one of the school's special education instructors.
A four-year starter at guard for North Carolina State University, Santos graduated in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in Spanish Literature. He also earned a master's degree in Special Education from New Jersey City State University. A native of Paterson, N.J., he currently resides in Ashburn, Va.
