The Redskins have re-signed wide receiver/kick return specialist Brandon Banks to the roster, the team announced on Saturday.
To make room for Banks, the Redskins waived running back Keiland Williams.
Banks, a rookie out of Kansas State, was on the active roster the first two weeks of the regular season. He did not see action in either game, however.
He spent last week on the Redskins' practice squad.
Banks, 5-7 and 150 pounds, earned a roster spot after a solid preseason.
On offense, he caught eight passes for 129 yards.
On special teams, he returned seven punts for a 15.4-yard average, including a 77-yard return for a touchdown against Buffalo on Aug. 13. He had three kickoff returns for a 24.7-yard average.
