The NFL and the Washington Redskins announced Dec. 19 that offensive lineman Chris Samuels has earned an invitation to the 2007 Pro Bowl.
Samuels' nod marks his fourth trip to the league's annual all-star game, earning invites in 2001, 2002 and 2005.
Samuels has started 14 games this season at left tackle and has been instrumental in an offensive line that has helped the Redskins rank fifth in the NFL in rushing. The unit has allowed 18 sacks and has paved the way for running back Ladell Betts to rush for four straight 100-yard games.
Safety Sean Taylor earned a first alternate bid, while linebacker Marcus Washington, tight end Chris Cooley and kick returner Antwaan Randle El were named third alternates.
