  • The Washington Commanders defeated the Chicago Bears 18-15 on Sunday afternoon on a last-second hail mary touchdown.
  • Washington has held their opponent scoreless in the first half in consecutive games for the first time since Week 10 and 11 of the 1997 season.
  • Washington is 4-0 at home for the first time since 2005 and is 6-2 to start the season since 2008.
  • Washington recorded 481 net yards, the highest total of the season.
  • Washington's defense held Chicago to two-of-twelve on third down.
  • Washington led the time of possession game 32:16 to 27:44

Offense

  • QB Jayden Daniels completed 21-of-38 passes for 326 yards, one touchdown and a 92.7 quarterback rating. He also rushed for 52 yards.
  • Daniels surpassed 300-plus passing yards in a single-game for the first time in his career.
  • Daniels is the second quarterback in franchise history to have 400-plus rushing yards in a single-season.
  • Daniels' 51-yard touchdown pass to WR Noah Brown was the longest of his career.
  • WR Terry McLaurin finished with five receptions for 125 yards, the highest mark of the season.
  • McLaurin (415) has passed WR Ricky Sanders (414) for seventh on the franchise's all-time reception list.
  • McLaurin passed WR Ricky Sanders (5,854) for the sixth-most receiving yards in franchise history.
  • WR Noah Brown caught three passes for 73 yards and the last second touchdown.
  • TE Zach Ertz recorded seven receptions for 77 yards.
  • RB Brian Robinson Jr. rushed for a team-leading 65 yards.

Defense

  • DT Jer'Zhan Newton had three tackles, three quarterback hits and his first career forced fumble.
  • S Quan Martin led the team with 10 tackles.
  • DT Daron Payne and DE Jayln Holmes each recorded his first sack of the season.

Special Teams

  • P Tress Way has recorded his 280th punt inside the 20-yard line. Since entering the league in 2014, Way is number two in the NFL in punts inside the 20-yard line.
  • K Austin Seibert now has 23 total made fields, which is the most by a Commanders kicker through the first eight weeks of a single season. The previous high was K Mark Moseley who made 20 field goals through Week 1-8 in the 1982 season.
  • Seibert now has 88 total points through Week 8. He passes K Mark Moseley (81 points through Week 8 in 1983) for the most points in franchise history through eight weeks of a single season.
