As has been the case in years past, the Redskins will have some special alumni taking the podium to announce the team's second-day draft picks in Nashville, Tenn., at the end of the month.
The NFL announced the list of 64 alumni and active players that will be representing their respective clubs on that Friday. For Washington, that includes Hall of Fame cornerback Darrell Green, who will announce the second-round pick, and legendary offensive lineman Joe Jacoby, who will announce the third-round pick.
According to the NFL's press release, "Round 2 Draft selections will be announced by previous NFL club first-round picks, while Round 3 will be announced by players who were drafted in later rounds."
Green and Jacoby, like the rest of their privileged peers, will also be on-site to mentor prospects and give back to Nashville by participating in a variety of community service events.
Much like the Redskins have done in previous years, trading is not out of the realm of possibility, especially on the second day. It's possible to see Green and Jacoby more than once -- more incentive to keep you locked in on this year's draft programming.
