Despite not getting as much of the spotlight as first-round prospects, the second round of the NFL Draft often produces amazing NFL players.

The Redskins two most recent second-round picks -- LSU running back Derrius Guice and Alabama pass rusher Ryan Anderson -- help bolster that theory. The Redskins hold the 14th pick in the second round this year and could use it on a variety of positions.

Here's a look at several players that might be available -- based on media mock drafts -- when Washington makes its second selection of the draft.

Erik McCoy, OL, Texas A&M

Due to injury problems, the Redskins offensive line was stretched thin in the 2018 season. Even with all returning linemen likely healthy for training camp, and the addition of Ereck Flowers, the Redskins could look to add reinforcements at offensive line.

McCoy spent four years at Texas A&M, where he started 38 games for the Aggies at center. McCoy has the strength and agility to play all five positions along the line and could be a huge asset for the Redskins. According to CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson, "McCoy is the second-best center in this class who can also play guard in the NFL."

Oshane Ximines, DE, Old Dominion

After losing Preston Smith in free agency to the Green Bay Packers, the Redskins could look to add anther pass rusher. The Redskins have taken defensive linemen in the first round each of the past two drafts, so adding another young pass rusher would create a young, dominant pass rush to complement the interior.

Ximines of Old Dominion had a very impressive career for the Monarchs, where he compiled 51 tackles for loss and 32 and a half sacks. Lance Cartelli of 247Sports has the Redskins taking Ximines, who according to the Draft Network, "has some fun rush moves in his repertoire and will bring the fight to everyone, which should make him a helpful NFL contributor."

Sione Takitaki, LB, BYU

The Redskins have some question marks at inside linebacker. Zach Brown was released and allowed to explore free agency this offseason, and Mason Foster is set to be a free agent following the season. Reuben Foster, claimed last November, is still not cleared to play by the NFL. This past season, BYU's Sione Takitaki had 119 total tackles and flashed NFL potential.

According to NFL.com's Chad Reuter, "Takitaki should be a force as an attacking inside 'backer for Washington. The team needs help in the middle."

Darnell Savage, S, Maryland

After adding Landon Collins in free agency, the Redskins should have an improved safety group. However, Washington could look to add another safety to pair with Collins through the draft.

Maryland's Darnell Savage could play well next to Collins and bolster the Redskins secondary. According to Bleacher Report's Matt Miller, Savage is "fast, rangy and a dangerous player when the ball is in the air. With 4.36 speed, he has the ability to track the ball all over the field with great makeup speed. He also recorded a 7.03-second three-cone time, which opened a lot of eyes to his change-of-direction skills.."

Mack Wilson, LB, Alabama

The Redskins have drafted their fair share of Alabama defensive players over recent years. They could add another in this year's draft by taking Mack Wilson in the second round.

Wilson, a middle linebacker, would help address the potential issues at the position for the Redskins. Fantasy Pro’s Mike Tagliere believes that "after releasing Zach Brown, you have to figure they're looking to fill that void sooner rather than later."
