In the NFL, teams have to bounce back quickly from one week to the next. The Redskins, coming off of an emotional 21-18 loss to NFC East rival Dallas, travel to Cleveland this Sunday for an out-of-conference matchup.

For head coach Joe Gibbs, the short work week presents plenty of challenges.

"We don't have a lot of time to get the game plan down," he said. "We're going to be working here all night. The players get one less day of rest, too. It's a tough short week for us. We'll have to bounce back from a real tough football game.

Both the Redskins and Browns are 1-2. And both teams have had their share of injury woes, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. The Browns have lost defensive lineman Courtney Brown and linebacker Ben Taylor, both of whom are out for the season. Meanwhile, the Redskins are expected to be without LaVar Arrington and Phillip Daniels.

Said Gibbs: "The best way to describe Cleveland is, they went down to Dallas and went toe-to-toe with them. It's going to be a tough chore for us to get ready and play a good football team up there in Cleveland, with a short work week."

The Redskins haven't played Cleveland in the regular season since 1991. Washington won that game 42-17 en route to a Super Bowl Championship, the last of Gibbs' first tenure as head coach.
