The Washington Redskins have announced the following inactives and lineup changes for today's game against the Green Bay Packers:
- No. 2 Kicker Kai Forbath
- No. 8 Quarterback Rex Grossman
- No. 22 Running back Evan Royster
- No. 32 Safety Jordan Pugh
- No. 48 Safety Jose Gumbs
- No. 67 Offensive guard Josh LeRibeus
- No. 95 Nose tackle Chris Neild
The Redskins signed No. 1 John Potter yesterday in anticipation of Forbath's availability. Forbath is dealing with a groin injury suffered during practice this week and would have risked further injury with today's rainy weather.
The Redskins will carry only three active running backs this week, with Alfred Morris getting the start, Roy Helu Jr. coming off the bench and Chris Thompson working primarily as the punt and kick returner.
With Pugh and Gumbs inactive, the Redskins will carry only three active safeties this week in Brandon Meriweather, Bacarri Rambo and Reed Doughty.
Meriweather and Rambo are expected to start for the first time together.
Last week, cornerback E.J. Biggers played safety in place of Meriweather, and could serve as positional depth this week as needed.
The Packers have also made the following players inactive:
- No. 24 Cornerback Jarrett Bush
- No. 29 Cornerback Casey Hayward
- No. 42 Safety Morgan Burnett
- No. 51 Linebacker Nate Palmer
- No. 65 Offensive guard Lane Taylor
- No. 93 Defensive end Josh Boyd
- No. 98 Defensive end C.J. Wilson
