Information for Fans with Accessibility Needs
The Washington Commanders and Northwest Stadium want every guest to feel welcome at the stadium. If you have questions about accommodations for fans with accessibility needs, you may reach us before, during, or after an event by email at tickets@commanders.com, by phone at (301) 276-6050, or by visiting the Guest Services booths located inside the stadium at the Gate A side and Gate E side on all levels.
Guest Services Booth Locations
Main Concourse: Sections 103-104 (Gate A side); Sections 124-125 (Gate E side).
Lower Suites: Across from Suite 110 (Gate A side); Across from Suite 181 (Gate E side).
Upper Suites: Across from Suite 309 (Gate A side); Across from Suite 381 (Gate E side).
Upper Concourse: Sections 403-404 (Gate A side); Sections 430-431 (Gate E side).
Accessible Parking
Northwest Stadium offers on-site, accessible parking for guests with a valid state-issued disability parking placard and/or license plate on a first come, first served basis, subject to availability. Click here for a map showing the location of accessible parking areas.
You may purchase a Burgundy, Gold, or Black parking pass in advance of your visit by calling (301) 276-6050 or by clicking here. Parking attendants will direct those with a parking pass and a valid state-issued disability parking placard and/or license plate to accessible parking areas. Additionally, golf cart transportation is available for guests requiring assistance to reach the Gates. If you need assistance call 301-276-6100 or text SAFE to (703) 266-6263 on the day of the game or event.
Accessible parking also may be available in the Gray Lot on Brightseat Road. From there, shuttles containing wheelchair lifts run on a continuous loop to the entrance to Northwest Stadium for disabled fans and their guests. Please note that the Gray Lot is the only cash lot controlled by the stadium. The Washington Commanders and Northwest Stadium cannot guarantee the availability of accessible parking or other accommodations at any lot surrounding the stadium that the Washington Commanders and Northwest Stadium do not control.
Please note that accessible parking is limited, so we strongly encourage fans in need of accessible parking to arrive early. Northwest Stadium reserves all legal rights and remedies against individuals who fraudulently park in accessible parking areas.
Metro Access vans can be scheduled in advance of Northwest Stadium events through Metro Access. Trips can be scheduled online or by contacting WMATA by phone. Vans will drop off and pick up at Gate A and Gate E pre- and post-event.
Accessible Seating
Fans in need of accessible seating are encouraged to purchase accessible seats in advance of the event at https://seatgeek.com/venues/northwest-stadium/tickets. If you are a season ticket member or if you purchased tickets directly through the Washington Commanders, please call (301) 275-6050 to request relocation to accessible seating. If you purchased single game tickets through secondary websites, we are unable to relocate you until the day of the game. When you arrive at Northwest Stadium, please request relocation to accessible seating at a Guest Services booth (section numbers identified above under "Guest Services Booth Locations").
Please note that accessible seating in specific areas of the stadium may be limited, so fans with a preferred seat location should arrive early. Stadium gates generally open two hours prior to each game or event. Services are provided on a first come, first served basis, subject to availability, and accessible seating is not guaranteed on the day of the game or event. Northwest Stadium reserves all legal rights and remedies against individuals who fraudulently obtain or seek to obtain wheelchair and companion seating.
Closed Captioning and Assisted Listening Devices
Closed captioning devices and assisted listening devices are available at all Guest Services booths, upon request and subject to availability. Assisted listening devices amplify the stadium's public address announcements but do not provide service to the play-by-play broadcast. Northwest Stadium provides captioning for certain in-stadium announcements on the fascia ribbon boards.
Concession Stands
Each concession stand and bar is accessible to patrons with disabilities. If assistance is required at any of the food service areas, please contact the nearest game day staff member.
Interpreter Requests
Guests requiring interpretive services should contact Guest Services by email at tickets@commanders.com, at least two (2) weeks prior to the event to allow time to procure a qualified interpreter.
Ramps and Elevators
Public ramps are available at Northwest Stadium and are located adjacent to Gates A, H, E, and D.
Public elevators are available for guests with health conditions or impairments and are located adjacent to Gate A and Gate E. If you or someone in your party requires access to an elevator, please visit any Guest Services booth to obtain an elevator wristband.
Restrooms
All public restrooms at Northwest Stadium offer accessible facilities. Family restrooms also are located on every level of the stadium.
Sensory Inclusion
Sensory kits are available for checkout at the Guest Services booths (see locations under "Guest Services Booth Locations" above) on the main concourse on a first come, first served basis for guests with sensory needs. Sensory kits contain over-the-ear headphones with a case, a magnetic fidget spinner, and a small foam football. For more information, please contact tickets@commanders.com.
Service Animals
Animals are not permitted at Northwest Stadium except for service animals and service animals in training. A service animal means any dog or miniature horse that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. Any service animal must remain on its leash for the duration of your visit to Northwest Stadium. Service animals do not include emotional support animals. Wheelchairs and Fan Mobile Assistance ("FMA")
Wheelchairs are permitted at Northwest Stadium. Guests may bring their own wheelchairs or temporarily borrow a wheelchair on a first come, first served basis, subject to availability.
Northwest Stadium is pleased to offer mobile assistance for our guests with disabilities or special needs. To request wheelchair assistance inside the stadium, speak with our FMA Inside Team members stationed at all gates and doorways on each floor of Northwest Stadium or the nearest game day staff
When you are ready to be picked up, ask a game day staff member to radio an FMA Inside Team member or call the same FMA Inside Team member that dropped you off.
