Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather (knee) is active for the first time this season and is expected to make his Redskins debut in the starting lineup.
Meriweather was injured during offseason activities and reinjured during the preseason contest in Chicago. He was expected to make his Redskins debut in Tampa Bay in Week 4, but a pregame collision with receiver Aldrick Robinson set him back until after the bye week.
He is joined in the starting lineup by receiver Pierre Garçon, who has battled a major toe injury since Week 1. Garçon has not been active since Week 5, and is said to be managing pain in an effort to boost the team's receiving corps.
Garçon's inclusion in the active roster comes at the expense of Dezmon Briscoe, who has been ruled inactive.
Rookie offensive lineman Josh LeRibeus is active for a second straight week, bumping second-year lineman Maurice Hurt.
