Cornerback DeAngelo Hall is headed to Hawaii.
In his third season in Washington, Hall has earned a Pro Bowl berth for the first time as a Redskin.
Hall previously earned Pro Bowl nods in 2005 and 2006 when he was a member of the Atlanta Falcons.
In addition, outside linebacker Brian Orakpo and fullback Mike Sellers were chosen as first alternates, while special teamer Lorenzo Alexander, tight end Chris Cooley and inside linebacker London Fletcher were selected as second alternates.
Hall may be having his best NFL season this year.
In 15 games, he has posted six interceptions, second-most in the league. He has a career-high 104 tackles, fourth-most on the Redskins' defense, and two forced fumbles.
His eight takeaways are the most by any defender in the NFL this season.
In the Redskins' first game on Sept. 12, Hall forced a fumble that he returned for a game-winning touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys.
On Oct. 24 in Chicago, Hall tied an NFL record by posting four interceptions, all in the second half, to help secure another Redskins win.
He returned one of the interceptions 92 yards for a touchdown.
Following his performance against the Bears, at Detroit on Oct. 31, Hall had an interception in the end zone to stop a Lions scoring drive. In doing so, Hall became the first player since former Chiefs safety Albert Lewis (five total; Dec. 8-14, 1985) to record at least five interceptions over a two-game span.
At Tennessee on Nov. 21, Hall spent the day one-on-one with Randy Moss, holding the future Hall of Fame wide receiver without a catch.
Hall, a Redskins defensive captain, believes he may be a better overall player now than he was when he made the Pro Bowl with the Falcons.
"I'm more of a complete player," he said recently. "I anticipate routes better and I'm better against the run."
Hall becomes the first Redskins cornerback to make the Pro Bowl since Champ Bailey in 2003.
With Hall's selection, the Redskins have had at least one Pro Bowl player for 17 straight seasons. The only year Washington did not have a Pro Bowler was 1993.
Since the first AFC-NFC Pro Bowl was played following the 1970 merger season, Hall is the fifth Redskins cornerback to be selected for a total of 15 appearances. He joins Lemar Parrish (1979-80), Darrell Green (1984, 86-87, 90-91, 96-97), Cris Dishman (1997) and Bailey (2000-03).
