Opening Statement:
"We had work today against Cincinnati stuff so we tried to brush up on all of that. As far as who is going to play and who is not, all of the guys that can't play will stay here working with the trainers and try and get healed up."
On whether or not he's concerned about the team getting too worked up for Sunday night's game:
"I'm never too worried about guys being too fired up; I think every time you step out there in this league it's important. We've got two objectives, we want to look sharp both offensively and defensively and we want a lot of guys to step and show us what they can do. I don't know how the fans see it, but to the football team it's real important because there are a lot of guys who are making a statement about whether they can make it, so it's a big deal for us."
On the injury to Taylor Jacobs (WR, #84):
"You hate it when something like that happens. Nobody works harder than Taylor like I said the other day. I think he's a talented guy and he's had a lot of things it seems as though go against him but certainly he would have an opportunity to play a lot if he was healthy (in the pre-season). What I'm hoping is that he is able to bounce back from it, I know he told the trainers he didn't think he could go, so he won't get an opportunity this week, but hopefully he'll be healthy next week."
On whether Jason Campbell (QB, #17) will get the most reps at quarterback Sunday night:
"If I had to guess, I'd say he would. I'm never sure of how much we play with the guys who start the game; it just kind of depends on how the game goes."
On what it will be like to not call plays for the first time:
"We had Jack (Burns) and Don (Breaux) who we're calling quite a bit of it last year, so I don't think it will be that big of a change, I've been used to it out here now."
On some of the tempers flaring on the field this week:
"I think everybody kind of gets tired of working against each other. Some of these guys probably hit each other 45 or 50 times and somewhere in there somebody gets upset, which is understandable. That's why I think it's good to start playing somebody else and if they're frustrated they can take it out on somebody else."
