Just as it seems he has every week this year, Jordan Reed had another big day in the Redskins' 35-25 victory over the ball, catching seven passes for 84 yards and two touchdowns.

It was the same story, just a different day for Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed on Sunday.

The third-year tight end was pretty much unstoppable when his number was called, as he recorded seven receptions for 84 yards and two touchdowns in the Redskins' 35-25 victory over the Buffalo Bills.

Reed bumped up his season totals to 74 catches with 778 yards and nine touchdowns.

"I feel confident in myself before the game," Reed said. "I believe in my skills and I believe in Kirk [Cousins] and this offense. I just go and try to make as many plays as I can."

On the Redskins first drive of the game, Reed had receptions of seven and 16 yards before his three-yard touchdown reception on 1st-and-goal.

Lined up to Cousins' right, Reed went 1-on-1 with fellow 2013 Redskins draft pick Bacarri Rambo.

After snapping the ball, Cousins dropped back before delivering a dart to Reed. Reed would jump up and grab the ball out of the air despite Rambo's extended arm being in the way.

Then on the Redskins' third drive of the game, Reed would haul in an 18-yard touchdown.

Finding a hole in the Bills' zone coverage (neither cornerback Leodis McKelvin nor safety Duke Williams were anywhere within striking distance) Reed would catch the ball with ease.

Reed has built a strong rapport with Cousins this season, particularly at FedExField, as Sunday was the third time this season the University of Florida recorded a pair of touchdowns on home turf.

"I just think it comes with the coaching staff and players sticking behind him no matter what is going on," Reed said of Cousins' evident growth. "That gives him a lot of confidence to just be himself and you know, go through the ups and downs and not have to worry about getting benched or whatever like that. So I think that has a lot to do with his improvement."

Reed added that Cousins is a "very accurate thrower."

"All of his hard work is paying off for him," Reed said. "I feel like he's just getting more confident and letting that ball go and I'm just doing my job trying to get open and catch the ball."

What has also helped Reed in recent weeks has been the explosiveness of DeSean Jackson.

With defenses unsure of how to defend Jackson and Reed together, sometimes they leave the backend of their coverage open, other times they're giving space down low.

That's when Reed is at his finest.

"We definitely got a lot of playmakers," Reed said. "Everybody right now is taking advantage of the opportunities, [Jamison] Crowder, Pierre [Garçon], D-Jax and me, and running the ball well today. So you just got to keep it going."

Even if Reed doesn't get the Pro Bowl nod he deserves this season, he's shown how impressive he is as a receiving threat.

"I've been around this league for a long time, and I've seen a lot of players. When I first got here, I told him, 'Even before I was on this team, I had been watching [you]," newly signed tight end Alex Smith said. "I told him, 'You're something special.' If I can aid him in any way and get him to the top, I think the sky's the limit."
