The Redskins have allocated five players--including a recently signed defensive end--to the newly titled NFL Europa, the team announced on Tuesday.

Player | Position | College |
Cedric Bonner | WR | Texas A&M-Commerce |
Casey Bramlet | QB | Wyoming |
Ryan Hoag | WR | Gustavus Adolphus |
Kili Lefotu | OL | Arizona |

Shaw signed with the Redskins last week. The 6-3, 287-pound defensive end has had brief NFL stints with the Dallas Cowboys (2000-01) and Detroit Lions (2006).
Shaw also played professionally with the Grand Rapids Rampage and the Colorado Crush in the Arena Football League from 2002-06. At Mississippi College, Shaw recorded 123 career tackles and nine sacks.
Lefotu was a seventh-round draft pick by the Redskins in 2006.
Bramlet was a reserve quarterback during training camp and preseason last year.
Hoag spent time on the Redskins' practice squad during last season and Bonner was signed to the roster in January.
Under a new rule this year, NFL teams are permitted to send only five players to NFL Europa.
The NFL Europa allocation draft is Feb. 23. At that time, the players will know what NFL Europa teams they are playing for in spring 2006.
Players will leave for training camp in Tampa in early March before heading overseas in early April. The NFL Europa season begins April 14.
The World Bowl XV is June 23 in Frankfurt, Germany.
