Several Washington Commanders players addressed the media after the team's 21-18 win over the New York Giants. Here's a look at some of their press conference.

Jayden Daniels

On how he feels after the first home game and win:

"I feel blessed. Can't really complain. It wasn't the prettiest game but you know, a win is a win."

On scrambling in the first half vs. the second half:

"It wasn't really any changes. Just go out there and play the game. I'm seeing it really well. We both have so there wasn't a conversation, like 'hey sit in there a little bit more.' It was just as the game was going. I kind of just played football."

On keeping your poise despite taking some hits early:
"It ain't the first time so it ain't nothing new with me."

On the frustration of not being able to punch the ball into the end zone:

"Extremely frustratingly. As we move the ball officially down the field and not to say anything but to go out there and leave points on the field. Man, you know, we work so hard to get down there. We want a touchdown."

On staying loose during the pressure moments and the final drive:
"That's what you live for, those moments. That's where names get made in this league. When it comes down to it, you know, big plays, two-minute drives, things like that. They've got to happen."

Austin Seibert

On going 7/7 on field goals:

"I guess that's a great way to kind of welcome myself and win a football game. So, I'm happy with it."

On reactions from all teammates:

"Oh, just happiness. You know, it's been this whole week, me being here on Monday, everyone's been just open arms, very positive. And it's been a lot easier to kind of just get in the flow of things, because the positivity around here is really, really good."

On working through the transition holding and snapping with new teammates:

"Well, these are two of the best in the league, and coming into the situation here I knew there was a great snapper and a great holder, and I trust them. So, it just makes my job a lot easier, because I know that [LS] [Tyler] Ott is going to hit his spot, and I trust him to hit the spot hold. All I gotta do is just trust my technique and just time it up. And that comes down to me doing that, and I thought we executed that fairly well. On Wednesday, Thursday and today."

On if he has ever made seven field goals:

"No, no, I haven't. I mean, maybe back in little league days."

On the feeling before the game-winning kick:

"I mean, for me, it's just trusting my technique. Did it on all previous ones. No reason to make it bigger than it is. Just go out there and do what I do. And in the off season, it's funny, I have a lot next to my house and there's a pine tree, and I go out and I kick this pine tree. I don't go to a field anymore, I can get this pine tree. So, I just tell myself to go out there and get the tree. Go out there and trust my technique, and it works for me."

On the pine tree kicks:

"Well, we go like three days a week. My wife will film me. My daughter will be out there with us too, and we'll get like, 25 to 30 balls. Yeah, it's fun. So, it's a family event."

On the team's red zone struggles:

"I think just going back to doing your job, you know, focusing on what you can put in those situations. The staff brought me in for a reason, and they believed in me to do that, and you just got to go out and execute it. Like I said, not make it bigger than what it is. Just trust your technique and do it. Put others first, like every time. I say a quick prayer, I put my teammates first and coaches first and fans first, and then I just allow my talent to take over. That's kind of been my thought process through all of this."

Bobby Wagner

On how he felt he performed from an individual perspective:

"I felt great, you know. I felt like I got a little bit of rust off the first game, and I started to get into a rhythm, and I felt good."

On doing a better job as a team on third down:

"Yea, we just wanted to get off the field. We should have done a little bit better, we hurt ourselves with some penalties, some flags, and things of that nature. We've just got to be better but we want to stack every game, and a win, especially a divisional win is always great."

On what they can build on from this win:

"There's a lot of stuff that we can build on. I think there's a lot of stuff we can still get better at. We still have to clean up our tackling, still got to clean up some of our execution, but wins are hard to come by in this league and so we'll take it."

On why tackling is a problem:

"We're professionals, I don't think there's no excuses, we just have to be better."

On if he has ever seen anything like a 7/7 field goal game:

"No, I've never seen anything like that. To come in and make all of the field goals and to close the game out, just a special performance man."

Austin Ekeler

On how he thinks RB Brian Robinson can carry the offense:

"Absolutely, you said it best right there. That's exactly what it was where it's not necessarily we're thinking, we're just playing the game how it comes to us right. Playing the game how it comes to us, he's a playmaker, I get on the field it's the same thing with myself. Expecting to make plays and then we have a dynamic group of guys around us as well to keep things alive and so you know on third down we were pretty good at being efficient and moving the chains and so that's going to keep us on the field and keep allowing us to make some plays."

On how kicking seven field goals is a weird way to win:

"I've seen a couple weird ways to win now. I saw the [Chicago] Bears didn't have a touchdown right, we didn't have a touchdown still got the win, but in this league it is hard to win. It's hard to win, ideally we don't ever win this way again and we actually get in the endzone. As an offense, that's our job so we've got to make sure that we finish down there in the red zone."

On what it means for the organization to get its first win of the season with all of the new players:

"It's big for everyone, you know we're in a situation where we have so many new parts to this organization. So for us to come together and be in a dog fight like that in a division game and get our first win at home is pretty special."

On the penalties throughout the game:

Well luckily those are things that we can control, so we can get that corrected. We will definitely be emphasizing that going forward. It's the details of going through the practice and saying hey we've been through this we can't be doing this to ourselves especially in the red zone. So it's just going to come down to making sure that we are locked in on our details."
