A list of notes and statistics from Sunday's Redskins-Eagles game, as compiled by Redskins Public Relations.
- The Washington Redskins snapped a three-game losing streak with a 31-6 win against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11 in front of an announced crowd of 79,327 people at FedExField.
- The Redskins extended their consecutive home sellout streak to an NFL-high 373, including postseason games. The team has sold out all 155 preseason, regular season and postseason games at FedExField.
The 25-point margin of victory was the team's largest in the Mike Shanahan era and the team's biggest since defeating the Detroit Lions by 31 points on Oct. 7, 2007. * The win is the Redskins' 80th against the Eagles including postseason games, the team's most wins against any opponent. Washington is 80-70-5 against Philadelphia all-time in combined regular season and postseason play. * The Redskins held the Eagles without a touchdown, marking the first time the Redskins have held an opponent without a touchdown since Week 3 at Dallas during the 2011 season. It was the first time the Redskins have held an opponent without a touchdown in a win since Dec. 21, 2008, when the Redskins defeated the Eagles, 10-3. * Quarterback Robert Griffin III completed 14-of-15 passes (93.3 percent) for 200 yards with four touchdowns. He finished the game with a perfect 158.3 passer rating and also contributed 84 rushing yards on 12 carries. * Griffin III was five attempts short of meeting the 20-attempt minimum needed to qualify for team records for completion percentage (Mark Brunell – 89.3 on Sept. 24, 2006 vs. Houston) and passer rating (Sonny Jurgensen – 149.3, Sept. 15, 1968 at Chicago). * Griffin III now has 2,193 passing yards and 613 rushing yards this season, making him only the third rookie to surpass both 2,000 passing yards and 500 rushing yards in a season. He joins Vince Young in 2006 (2,199 passing yards, 552 rushing yards) and Cam Newton in 2011 (4,051 passing yards, 706 rushing yards). * The Redskins rushed for 169 yards. The Redskins now have eight games this season with 150 rushing yards or more, the most in the NFL. * Running back Alfred Morris gained 76 rushing yards on 20 carries. He now has 869 rushing yards on the season, making him the 12th NFL rookie since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger to rush for 850 yards or more in the first 10 games of a season. Morris is the first Redskins rookie to accomplish the feat. * Sunday marked the third game this season in which the Redskins have had two players rush for at least 75 yards. No other NFL team has had more than one this season. * Cornerback DeAngelo Hall registered his second interception of the season on the Eagles' opening drive. It was the 38th interception of his career. Hall remains in sixth place in interceptions among active players. * The takeaway was the Redskins' first on an opponent's opening drive since Week 2, when cornerback Josh Wilson returned a fumble 30 yards for a touchdown on the first play from scrimmage at St. Louis. * On the ensuing possession, Griffin III completed a six-yard touchdown pass to fullback Darrel Young on the second play of the drive. The touchdown was Griffin III's ninth touchdown pass of the season and Young's second touchdown reception of the season. * The completion was Griffin III's 173rd of the season, pushing him past Norm Snead (172 in 1961) for sole possession of the team record for completions in a rookie season. * The touchdown came on a two-play, nine-yard drive. The Redskins have scored seven touchdowns this season on quick strike drives, defined as scoring drives lasting less than four plays. Washington entered the game tied for fourth in the NFL in quick strike points with 42. * On the Eagles' second possession, safety Brandon Meriweather – playing in and starting his first game as a Redskin – recorded his first interception of the season. It was his 13th career interception and his first since Dec. 12, 2010, as a member of the New England Patriots. * The multi-interception game is the Redskins' fourth multi-interception game of the season, marking the first time the team has had two or more interceptions in four or more games in a season since 2007 (six). * The interceptions marked the first time in the Mike Shanahan era that the Redskins have intercepted two passes in the first quarter of a game. The last time the Redskins had two first-quarter interceptions was on Nov. 2, 2003 at Dallas, when Matt Bowen and Ifeanyi Ohalete each had a first-quarter interception of Quincy Carter. * In the second quarter, Griffin III found Aldrick Robinson for a 49-yard touchdown pass. The touchdown was Robinson's second of the season and second of his career, and the reception was a career long. It was the 10th touchdown pass of the season for Griffin III. * Griffin III joined Heath Shuler (10 in 1994) as the only rookie quarterbacks in team history to post double-digit touchdown passes in a season since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger. * Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan recorded his first career fumble recovery, recovering a LeSean McCoy fumble in the second quarter. The fumble was forced by nose tackle Barry Cofield, the third forced fumble of his career and his first as a member of the Redskins. * The fumble set up a 25-yard field goal to end the half by Kai Forbath. With the kick, Forbath has made his first nine kicks to open his career, becoming the first Redskin since at least 1960 to open a career with nine consecutive made field goals. Former kicker Graham Gano previously held the mark since 1960 by making the first eight field goals of his career across the 2009-10 seasons. * The field goal gave Washington a 17-3 lead at halftime. Washington is now 4-1 this season when leading at halftime. The Redskins are 10-6 in the Shanahan era when leading at halftime and 4-0 when leading by 14 points or more. * Griffin III completed 8-of-9 passes for 99 yards, two touchdowns and a passer rating of 152.1 in the first half. His first-half passer rating was the third-highest for the Redskins since the turn of the century, trailing his perfect first half (158.3) at New Orleans in Week 1 this season and Mark Brunell's 156.3 rating in the first half vs. San Francisco on Oct. 23, 2005. * Kerrigan registered a sack-fumble in the third quarter. The sack gives him 5.5 on the season and 13.0 for his career. The forced fumble was his first of the season and fifth of his career. * Griffin III hit wide receiver Santana Moss for a 61-yard touchdown in the third quarter. The touchdown pass was the 11th of the season for Griffin III and his third of the day, setting a career high upon which he would later improve. * The touchdown reception was Moss' team-high sixth of the season, surpassing the team's individual high from a season ago (Jabar Gaffney – five). Moss now has 62 career touchdown receptions, including 43 as a member of the Redskins. * The reception pushed Moss past 9,500 career receiving yards, making him the ninth active player to reach the milestone. * Linebacker Perry Riley registered a sack in the third quarter, giving him 2.0 sacks on the season, a career high. Washington finished with four sacks, matching their season high, set in Week 6 vs. Minnesota. * Griffin III hit tight end Logan Paulsen for a 17-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. The touchdown was Griffin's 12th of the season and fourth of the day. It marked the first four-touchdown passing performance by the Redskins since Dec. 19, 2010, when Rex Grossman threw for four touchdowns at Dallas. * The touchdown reception was Paulsen's first of the season and the second of his career. It was his first since Dec. 12, 2010 vs. Tampa Bay. * The Redskins scored 10 points off turnovers, giving them 62 points off turnovers for the season through 10 games. The Redskins scored 43 points off turnovers in 16 games during the entire 2011 season. * Linebacker London Fletcher appeared in his 234th consecutive game, tied for the longest active streak in the NFL. * Punter Sav Rocca placed three punts inside the 20, tying his season high established in Week 5 vs. Atlanta. * The Redskins are now 1-1 in NFC East play and 4-4 in games against NFC opponents this season. * The Redskins are now 11-12 all-time in games directly following a bye week and snapped a four-game losing streak in such games. * The win was Head Coach Mike Shanahan's 169th overall victory as an NFL head coach, pushing him past Pro Football Hall of Famer Bud Grant for sole possession of 14th all-time. It is Shanahan's 161st regular season victory as an NFL head coach. * Shanahan is now 11-6 in games directly following a bye week as a head coach. * The victory evened Shanahan's regular season head coaching record against teams that currently comprise the NFC East at 14-14.
