Cornerback Carlos Rogers returned to the Redskins' lineup for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Rogers had missed three of the last four games due to a hamstring injury.
He was listed as questionable on the Redskins' injury report after being limited in practice last week.
Rogers joined DeAngelo Hall at cornerback, with Phillip Buchanon serving in nickel packages.
Early on, Rogers had a key third-down tackle on Cowboys quarterback Jon Kitna, stopping him at the goal line. Next play, London Fletcher and Rocky McIntosh stopped running back Tashard Choice on a 4th-down run up the middle.
Rogers finished the game with five tackles and one pass defended.
Meantime, the Redskins' secondary was without safety Macho Harris, who was deactivated for the game.
That left the defense with just two safeties – starters Reed Doughty and Kareem Moore – available. LaRon Landry was placed on injured reserve last week.
Doughty went down with a head injury -- possibly a concussion -- in the first half and did not return to the game.
Cornerback Kevin Barnes slid over to play the rest of the game at safety. He has had reps in practice at safety this season, so he was prepared.
The Redskins' complete list of inactives was as follows: Harris, running backs James Davis and Andre Brown, offensive linemen Erik Cook and Derrick Dockery, defensive end Kedric Golston and defensive tackle Jeremy Clark.
Golston was sidelined due to a groin injury suffered in last week's game vs. Tampa Bay. Phillip Daniels started in his place, although Vonnie Holliday saw action as well.
Clark signed with the Redskins last week and could be seen as a developmental prospect next offseason.
"I don't know if he'll help this year that much with the short weeks we have coming up but we watched him on film and he is a try-hard guy, played hard, played in the 3-4," defensive coordinator Jim Haslett said. "He was a guy that we thought we could maybe use in the future."

On Friday, head coach Mike Shanahan hinted at a possible lineup change on defense for Sunday's game against Dallas.
At game time, the change was revealed: Anthony Bryant started at nose tackle in place of Ma'ake Kemoeatu.
Coaches want to get a closer look at the 6-3, 376-pound Bryant, who has three tackles in limited action this season.
In the first quarter, Bryant recorded a tackle on a 2-yard run up the middle by Cowboys running back Felix Jones.
Bryant finished the game with two tackles.
-- ANOTHER MOSS MILESTONE
For the second week in a row, Santana Moss has jumped up the Redskins' all-time list of receiving leaders.
Moss's 20-yard reception in the first quarter of Sunday's game was his 422nd career catch as a Redskin, moving him past tight end Jerry Smith.
A week ago, Moss moved past wide receiver Ricky Sanders, who finished his Redskins career with 414 career receptions.
Moss finished the first quarter against Dallas with three catches for 30 yards.

The Redskins lost four starters during the course of Sunday's game vs. Dallas.
Linebacker Brian Orakpo suffered what was announced as hamstring and groin injuries in the press box.
Safety Reed Doughty had a head injury, defensive end Phillip Daniels had an abdominal injury and Rocky McIntosh reaggravated a hamstring injury.
Mike Shanahan will update the Redskins' injury list in his Monday press conference.
