The Redskins continue to wait on offensive lineman Jason Fabini and punter Derrick Frost.

The team has made contract offers to both Fabini and Frost, but both are testing the free agent marketplace.

"They're waiting to see if there's money to be had out there," executive vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato said. "We made an offer that we feel is fair to both, and we'll just have to wait and see."

Cerrato commented on Fabini and Frost during an interview on Redskins Radio with Larry Michael and Bram Weinstein.

Fabini was an invaluable starter at right guard when Randy Thomas went down with a triceps injury in Week 2. He ended up starting 14 games, plus a playoff game, and helped the Redskins to the NFL's 12th-ranked rushing offense.

Frost turned in his best season in 2007. He had a 41-yard punting average last season, good enough for 18th best in the league. His 35.4-yard net punting average was 21st in the league.

Regarding Fabini, Cerrato said: "I thought for a guy who has played tackle most of his career, and had to step in and play guard for us last year, he came in and did a real good job.

"He's tough and he's smart, and he's not going to look the prettiest getting the job done, but he's going to find a way to get the job done."

Cerrato has previously said the team has made a contract offer to free agent wide receiver Reche Caldwell, who has yet to sign with a club this offseason.

Caldwell contributed 15 catches for 141 yards last season.

The Redskins have re-signed offensive lineman Justin Geisinger, who spent time on the team's practice squad last season.

Geisinger is a 6-3, 322-pound offensive lineman who has primarily played guard in his career.

He had brief NFL stints with the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans. He played in two games with the Titans in 2006.

Geisinger, who hails from Pittsburgh, played his college ball at Vanderbilt.
