The Redskins have placed offensive lineman Mike Pucillo on injured reserve, ending his season.

Pucillo has been slowed by a nagging back injury in recent weeks, forcing him to miss the last two games.

Versatile lineman Lorenzo Alexander has increasingly taken on Pucillo's role on offense, which includes serving as a backup guard and tight end in goal-line situations.

Taking Pucillo's place on the roster is offensive tackle Kevin Sampson, promoted from the practice squad.

Sampson. 6-4 and 312 pounds, spent six weeks on the Redskins' active roster this season, but he did not play in a game. Then, on Nov. 28, he was released and re-signed to the practice squad.

Sampson was a seventh-round draft selection out of Syracuse by Kansas City in 2004. He has seen action in 16 NFL games, with seven starts at right tackle, in his career.

In addition, the Redskins re-signed offensive lineman Calvin Armstrong to the practice squad, taking Sampson's spot.

Armstrong, who was on the practice field on Thursday, has had several stints on the Redskins' practice squad this season.

The Redskins list just two players on the team's Thursday injury report: Jason Campbell and Todd Yoder.

Campbell is listed as out for Sunday's game against Dallas with a knee injury.

Yoder was limited in Thursday's practice as he continues to overcome a knee injury.

Mike Sellers, the Redskins' primary injury concern coming out of the Minnesota game, was not listed on the injury report. He was full-go in practice on Thursday despite suffering a concussion against the Vikings.

"I think he is fine," Gibbs said. "He told me that he feels great."
