Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels addressed the media after practice on Sept. 25. Here is a full transcript of the press conference.

On being named NFC Offensive Player of the Week:
"It means a lot. Just gotta thank God for putting me in this position, allowing me to play this game and inspire others."

On being back at Arizona State University:
"It's cool. First time back in a while, able to just walk around here and relive some memories in my head. But the main thing is to focus on the Arizona Cardinals."
* On the last few days and on if playing well on Monday Night Football is different than a big game in college:*
"Nah, it was just another game to me. I guess everybody says a primetime game, all eyes are watching. For me, it's like, man, maybe if some kid who never watched me play before was able to turn on that game and watch me play and be inspired by somebody."

On avoiding a letdown after an emotional win:
"It's another game. That game's in the past, don't even mean nothing no more."

On anything specific last week that led to his connections with WR Terry McLaurin:
"Man, pieces fell in place. It wasn't anything specifically, we just kept working, kept growing. And that's the testament to Terry, who he is as a pro. Be able to just be out there and be patient, because like I said before, it's not going to be smooth sailing, going to have some adversity, have some rollercoaster, some ups and downs. So, salute to Terry."

*On if it's hard to trust a receiver to make a contested catch: *"No, you just got to trust him, as you said. And Terry proved to me he can make plays."
* On not having RB Austin Ekeler this weekend: *"Yeah, obviously that's another weapon that we won't have this week. Praying for a speedy recovery with him to get back as fast as possible. But it's next man up mentality, we're going to hold it down and move forward. Obviously, the gameplan that [Offensive Coordinator] Kliff [Kingsbury] and them have set we're going to go out and try to execute it. And go out there and practice hard, the next man up."

On his relationship with WR Noah Brown:
"It's been real good. Just Noah getting more comfortable. Just the whole unit getting more comfortable. It's only a third game playing with each other, so we gotta keep improving."
* On the chemistry he's built with the offense:*
"Yeah, I mean it's growing week in and week out. Obviously, like I said, it's only our third game playing with each other, so we're all still trying to figure out how everybody plays and communication style, but that's what practice [is] for and we harp that practice, man, to communicate, get everybody on the same page so we can keep moving forward."

On anything he saw while watching film that he can improve on:
"Yeah, just go out there and just trust myself. I mean, there's sometimes maybe I could have ripped a pass here and there. It ultimately didn't result in a negative play, but just looking back, it's like, man, maybe if I had that play here, we could extend, have more yards, more explosive plays and things like that."

On how he's grown quickly over the first three weeks of the season:
"You got to keep putting the work in. Put your faith in God, and just keep going from there. Keep finding ways to get better, keep improving."

On what a day that stands out to him looks like:
"It's just another game, man, another day. Another day, another dollar."

On running into the tunnel postgame and seeing Senior Advisor to the General Manager Doug Williams:
"It was awesome. Obviously, it was a very emotional, hard-fought win on the road in a hostile environment against a very solid team in the [Cincinnati] Bengals. And just to go out there and fight it out to the end and be on the other side of the victory meant a lot. Just see all the fans who traveled all the way out there, go out there and just show him some love, see family and just see Doug. You just sit up there and you reminisce of, Doug was doing this back in his time and he put in the time here, man. So, me and Doug had that relationship. It meant a lot."

*On if he pays attention to the social media reaction from Monday night: *"Nah. I mean, I see stuff and I appreciate my peers showing respect. And be able to gain the respect of people that I've watched before me and pay my time and pay my dues to them. But it just means a lot, but it doesn't matter what you did last week. You got to move on to the new week."

On seeing how far him and his former Arizona State teammates have gone:
"It's awesome. It started here, we grew up and you see everybody live out their dreams. Those are brothers to me. We got "BA" [San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk], [Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB] Rashaad [White], [San Francisco 49ers WR] Ricky [Pearsall], people like that, man. Those are brothers to me and I'm happy for them."

On the impact of NIL during his college career:
"It didn't mean nothing to me. My time here was great, but I didn't leave here for any NIL purposes or things like that. So, NIL didn't really have that much of an impact on me, but I'm never against the players making money off the name, image and likeness. Just know the end goal, what's the end goal for you."

On how he's grown since his time at Arizona State:
"Yeah, came here at 18 and kind of was still trying to find myself. And once I made that move to transfer, I was 21 years old. Kind of was able to find who I am as a man being away and being on my own. So, that move helped out a lot from, being able to grow up, figure out who I am as a person, who I am as a football player, and going from there."

On if he's still in contact with former Arizona State Head Coach Herm Edwards:
"Yeah, I'm always talking to Herm. Love Herm, he recruited me here. Phenomenal head coach, phenomenal man. Looked out for me while I was here. I still talk to him today, so that dynamic is still there."

On what he remembers from the day he met Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray:
"Just happened to be at the mall, [saw] Kyler. Went up to him and said what's up and went from there."

On memories that he's reminded of being back at Arizona State:
"Yeah, being undefeated versus Arizona. That's something I could say, I finished here undefeated [against Arizona.] And 2019, the Oregon game."

On his pass to Aiyuk against Oregon in 2019:
"Yeah, third down, me and him had that connection, that rapport. He told me, 'Hey man, I'm going to run and go, but I'm going to stutter a little bit. I just put the ball up, he made a play, the rest is history."

On what Arizona State has meant to his football career:
"It was the start for me, started all this, laid the foundation. Obviously, the people that recruited me here, I can't thank them enough for what they've done for me in my football career. And the relationships that I've made off the field here, [I] still cherish them to this day."

*On if he saw Head Coach Dan Quinn pick up McLaurin after their big play: *"[Laugh] No, I did not. I did not at all."

On if he heard about it:

"Nah, that's the first-time hearing about it."

On if it was a sigh of relief moment for them:
"Hey, you got to ask them, I don't know. I was focused on scoring."
