Head Coach Jay Gruden
On injuries:
"Out would be [Troy] Apke, hamstring. Doubtful would be [Shawn] Lauvao, calf. Questionable would be [Jamison] Crowder, ankle; [Paul] Richardson, knee, shoulder; [Josh] Doctson, heel; [Adrian] Peterson, shoulder, knee, ankle; [Chris] Thompson, rib, knee and [Zach] Vigil, thigh."
On if he is worried about the players listed as questionable on offense:
"I think these questionables are all areas of concern so, yes."
On what he needs to see from WR Jamison Crowder for him to play Sunday:
"I think he needs to get up and run. I think that won't happen. A couple of these guys… I won't know until Sunday at about 9, 10 o'clock, when they get out on the field. See if they can run and do some things. We have everything covered if they can't go but there's three or four of these guys on the list we have to wait and see on Sunday."
On which players did not practice today:
"Just [Troy] Apke and [Shawn] Lauvao."
On if the other players on the injury report were limited in practice today:
"Yeah"
On the difficulty of having a short week as well as injured players:
"It's difficult. The guys that are here we're trying to focus on them and getting them ready to play and then have a backup plan in case some of these other guys can't play."
On if G Shawn Lauvao had a setback:
"Yeah, he practiced on… what was it, Wednesday? Tried to go, went through all the team periods and was just a little sore. Those calves, like I said, they linger, they get tight again, so we've got to make sure he's right because I think it could be a lingering thing for a long time."
On if there is a difference in Carolina's offense under Offensive Coordinator Norv Turner:
"A little bit, every offensive coordinator has their own tweak and their own mark. They've got different personnel, they've added some guys. They had [Christian] McCaffrey last year and [Curtis] Samuel last year, but they are using them a little bit differently, a little bit more. Obviously Cam [Newton] is a focal point. He does a great job in both the running game and the passing game and he caters to his strengths. His strengths were some of the things that he did before Norv got there but Norv has also added some things in the passing game that are very, very good, very effective."
On what the Carolina Panthers have added:
"What have I seen? Do you want me to go through the concepts? [Laughter]
On what stood out to him among what the Panthers have added:
"I don't know. They added some different conceptual plays. I think every coach in the offseason, they come up with different things that suit their personnel. Things that other teams have run, some things that he's been successful with in the past. He's been a big power guy in the past and he's implemented that both with the quarterback, and they've done that before, a lot of teams have. Some of the down the field, play action, things like that he's added."
