The 45 minute session moderated by Larry Michael featured Redskins legend and Super Bowl Champion Gary Clark alonside Darnell Ingram and Jason Deters, the two FedEx Fellows working with the Redskins this season.
The topics ranged from football to transitioning from the military to civilian life. Gary specifically touched on his own experience in the NFL to when he decided to retire and what he is doing now. Darnell and Jason's commentary ranged from what they are doing with their role with the Redskins and how that is helping them find their next path in life.
The FedEx Football Fellowship, a new collaboration with the USO is working with the Redskins to create on-the-job professional experiences for recently-transitioned veterans as they navigate their way from military to civilian life. These fellows have been working with the team since September and will continue to do so until the end of November. The program is an extension of support by FedEx for USO PathfinderSM, which provides resources, a global network and personalized service to assist former service members and military spouses in their transition back to civilian life.
