LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have acquired center Lucas Crowley from the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for cornerback Dashaun Phillips.
Crowley (6-3, 290) initially entered the NFL as a college free agent with the Arizona Cardinals on May 2, 2017. The rookie later signed with the Steelers on Aug. 8 after being waived by the Cardinals on July 22.

Last year, he received second-team All-ACC honors after starting all 13 games and helping the Tar Heels to 293.2 passing yards per game, third-most in the conference.
Crowley, 22, attended Nease H.S. in Ponte Vedra, Fla., where he earned first-team all-state honors. He was born Sept. 7, 1994.
