A nine-year veteran with Super Bowl experience, Will Blackmon has appeared in 66 regular season games with the Packers, Giants and Jaguars.

In a corresponding move, the Redskins placed safety Duke Ihenacho on their season-ending Injured Reserve list following a left wrist fracture/dislocation suffered while making a tackle in the season opener against the Miami Dolphins.
The team on Tuesday also signed cornerback Dashaun Phillips to the practice squad and released practice squad fullback Ray Agnew.
Blackmon – a nine-year veteran out of Boston College – started his career with the Green Bay Packers, where he appeared in 32 games over four seasons, recording 41 tackles and a pass defensed along with two fumbles forced and two fumbles recovered.
He spent the 2010 and 2011 seasons with the New York Giants. including four appearances during their postseason run to a 21-17 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI.
In 2013, the 6-foot, 204-pound Blackmon split his time between the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League, the Seattle Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguars, where he would have his best season to date as a professional, recording 40 tackles with 11 passes defensed, two fumbles forced, an interception and a sack.
Blackmon also appeared in eight games last season with the Jaguars, tallying 30 tackles along with a forced fumble and a sack.
He signed with the Seahawks this past March and appeared in all four preseason games with two starts, but was released before final cuts even though he was projected to be the team's primary slot corner.
Blackmon joins a group of Redskins cornerbacks that is currently in a state of flux, as the team this week returns Bashaud Breeland from suspension, but starter Chris Culliver on Monday began a week-long suspension, and Justin Rogers is dealing with a foot injury.
DeAngelo Hall, meanwhile, left last Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins with an injury to his ribs, but later returned to action.
Hall and Breeland are listed as the starting cornerbacks on this week's unofficial depth chart, while Rogers is slotted behind Hall and Amerson behind Breeland.
For Ihenacho, this is a second tough blow during his tenure with the Redskins, as he was a waiver wire acquisition last August, appearing in three games before a foot injury sidelined him for the season.
With the San Jose State product now out for the season, Trenton Robinson – who replaced Ihenacho in the lineup on Sunday – moves to the first-team strong safety spot on the unofficial depth chart. Kyshoen Jarrett, meanwhile, is now listed as the second-team free safety behind Dashon Goldson.
