The Washington Redskins announced on Aug. 8 a new partnership with Lasting Impressions Landscaping Contractors, Inc. (LILC) to upgrade and maintain landscaping at FedExField.
The multi-year partnership includes thousands of new plantings, general maintenance, updates to the irrigation system and more.
As a proud partner of The Washington Redskins, LILC will oversee the improvement of the gameday experience in and around FedExField, including new burgundy and gold plantings near each of the main gates, the ticket office, VIP suites and club entrances, and the Redskins Hall of Fame area.
In addition, LILC will provide Game Day Fresh Flower arrangements in the 250 suites for home games and all playoff games at FedExField.
"The Washington Redskins are very proud to partner with LILC," Redskins chief operating officer Dave Donovan said. "We have done so much this year to improve the gameday experience in the bowl, and it is great to be able to partner with LILC to improve the stadium's exterior appearance as well."
The partnership begins in time for the start of the 2010 season. The Redskins open the preseason at FedExField against the Buffalo Bills on Aug. 13. The team opens the regular season against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 12.
