In front of a national audience, the Washington Redskins played a complete game -- highlighted by six offensive touchdowns -- for a 42-24 victory over the Green Bay Packers.

Fourth Quarter: Redskins 42, Packers 24It took the Packers just one play into the fourth quarter to get a touchdown, as Aaron Rodgers would find an open James Starks for a 31-yard score. 

Mason Crosby would hit the extra point to make it a 22-17 game. 

But the Redskins didn't take long to respond, as Pierre Garçon would catch two passes for 75 yards, the second of which was a 70-yard touchdown reception to put the Redskins back up by 12.

The wide receiver now has six catches for 116 yards on the evening. 

Like a heavyweight fighter in this heavyweight matchup, though, the Packers would punch back with another touchdown, this time a six-yard pass to Jared Cook. Crosby would once again make an extra point to keep the game within five.

Washington would get the ball back with 10 minutes left and start a slow pace to get the ball up the field. 

At one point, the Redskins were forced into a key decision to go for it on 4th-and-one from their own 41-yard line, and Kirk Cousins kept it for a two-yard gain.

But then on 3rd-and-seven from Washington's own 46-yard line, Kirk Cousins dropped a 53-yard bomb to Crowder to get the Redskins down to the one-yard line.

One play later, with Houston Bates at fullback, the Redskins gave the ball to Robert Kelley for a one-yard touchdown run. 

Dustin Hopkins, however, would miss the extra point attempt.

Green Bay would drive, but a Josh Norman forced fumble would be recovered by Will Compton. 

Getting the ball back, Kelley slammed the door shut on a potential Packers comeback, rushing for 72 yards on two carries, the second resulting in his third touchdown run of the game.

The Packers would put Brett Hundley into the game at quarterback before being intercepted by Martrell Spaight on third down.

Third Quarter: Redskins 22, Packers 10
Getting the ball to start the second half, Washington handed the ball to the running backs on the first two plays of the third quarter before benefitting from a roughing the passer call on Mike Daniels. 

Once again, though, the Redskins relied on Jordan Reed to get them deep into Packers territory, as the tight end picked up 28 yards on a 3rd-and-five catch.

Washington would have to settle for a field goal off Dustin Hopkins, however, extending the lead to 16-10.

On the ensuing kickoff, some confusion between the Packers' returners nearly resulted in a fumble recovery for the Redskins inside the five-yard line, but Green Bay would recover the ball at the two-yard line.

After picking up seven yards on first down, the Packers would launch a bomb to Jared Cook for a 47-yard gain. 

Green Bay would continue to move down the field through the air, as Rodgers would eventually get the Packers into potential touchdown territory before settling for a field goal attempt into the wind. It would be no good, as Mason Crosby would miss his third field goal try this season. 

Getting the ball back at their own 26-yard line, Robert Kelley would tally his 14th carry of the game on first down before Kirk Cousins went to the air on second and third downs to give the offense new downs to work with.

Then on first down, Cousins would connect with DeSean Jackson for a 17-yard gain. 

Pushed back into a 3rd-and-10 situation at the 44-yard line after a delay of game call, the Redskins hit the Packers deep for a touchdown score to Jamison Crowder. 

Crowder got behind the coverage to grab the ball for his sixth touchdown reception of the season.

Washington tried another two-point conversion, but could not get into the end zone, keeping the score at 22-10.

Green Bay started a march that would get down to Washington's 31-yard line before the quarter ended.

Second Quarter: Redskins 13, Packers 10The Packers would continue their drive into the second quarter, capping it off with a a 13-yard touchdown to Jordy Nelson on third and goal. 

While Green Bay would ultimatley get a new set of downs on a fourth down penalty early in the quarter, Su'a Cravens recorded a needed pass deflection on third down when he burst through the middle of the offensive line. 

The drive went 75 yards on 17 plays.

Washington's next posession would last just three plays before Tress Way came on to punt. Green Bay would get the ball back and eventually take the lead behind a field goal conversion by Mason Crosby. 

On 3rd-and-five from the eight-yard line, Ryan Kerrigan went untouched into the backfield for his first sack of the game. The linebacker now has 8.5 sacks on the season.

While Washington's response started slow with a three-yard loss on a Robert Kelley run, the offense quickly got it going and into Green Bay territory behind a 26-yard catch by Jordan Reed on the third play of the drive.

Kirk Cousins would go back to Reed for another first down to get the Redskins to the Packers' before going back to the tight end for an 18-yard gain. 

Eventually getting to the 10-yard line, Kelley scored his second rushing touchdown of the season when he punched through the middle of the Packers for a score.

The Packers would get the ball back for one play before the half. The result? A Chris Baker sack.

First Quarter: Redskins 7, Packers 0After winning the coin toss and electing to receive to start the game, it was Green Bay's potent offense that was first on the field Sunday night.

But the Redskins cranked up the pressure and didn't allow the Packers to gain a single yards, as Aaron Rodgers was flushed out of the pocket twice on his attempts – both incomplete – and James Starks didn't gain a yard on his lone attempt.

Washington, however, wouldn't record a first down either, as Robert Kelley had the lone positive play on the drive, a four-yard gain on first down.

Quickly back on the field, though, the defense once again clamped down on the Packers' second drive with another three-and-out.

On the drive, cornerback Bashaud Breeland tallied a perfect open-field tackle on a third down checkdown pass to hold off Green Bay's drive to just three plays.

Starting from their own six-yard line, the Redskins were pushed back three yards on their first play of the ensuing drive before riding Pierre Garçon and Kelley out of the shadows of their own goalposts.

Garçon had two receptions for 28 yards and Kelley had an 18-yard run before Tress Way's punt was fair caught at the 10-yard line. 

Yet again, the defense shut down Rodgers and Co. allowing just seven rushing yards before defending a pass on third down. 

Getting the ball back at their own 45-yard line, Washington marched down the field behind Cousins' arm, as the quarterback hit four different targets before finding DeSean Jackson for a 17-yard score. 

Dustin Hopkins hit the extra point to give the Redskins an early 7-0 lead.

Green Bay would finally move the chains in their response to Washington's touchdown score, as Rodgers marched the offense into opposing territory before the end of the quarter.
