While Thursday night's game wasn't a high-scoring affair like Washington's previous two games, the Redskins were able to wear down the Giants for a 20-10 victory.

Fourth Quarter: Redskins 20, Giants 10
The Redskins and Giants continued to exchange punts early in the fourth quarter, as Tress Way (seven punts) and Brad Wing (eight punts) have been active on the evening.

For the second time in as many weeks, second-year defensive lineman Anthony Lanier II logged a sack, as he took down Eli Manning for a crucial third down stop with less than 10 minutes remaining in the quarter.

After a penalty breathed new life in Washington's ensuing drive after the sack, the Redskins continued to call on Samaje Perine to get tough yards on the ground. The rookie back would pick up 11 yards on a first down run on New York's 48-yard line.

The Redskins then tapped Jamison Crowder to get the offense deeper into enemy territory, as the wide receiver had a key third down catch that netted 17 yards.

Two plays later, Kirk Cousins found Josh Doctson for a 14-yard touchdown in the side of the end zone. It is the fourth touchdown on the year for Washington's 2016 first-round pick.

Nick Rose would hit the extra point to give the Redskins a 17-10 lead with 3:31 left in the quarter. 

Off the touchdown, the Redskins would force a turnover on downs, as linebacker Junior Galette sacked Eli Manning on fourth down to give the offense the ball back.

Nick Rose would hit a 33-yard field goal to put the Redskins up 10 with less than two minutes left.

Kendall Fuller would get his fourth interception of the season before the Redskins ran out the clock for the victory.

Third Quarter: Redskins 10, Giants 10
While Washington was able to get its most production out of the running game to date in this Week 12 tilt on the opening drive of the third quarter – picking up 27 yards on three carries – the Redskins were set back by a holding call before Tress Way came out for a 50-yard punt that was fair caught at New York's 15-yard line.

The defense held strong to force a three-and-out before Jamison Crowder returned Brad Wing's sixth punt of the night to the 50-yard line. Despite being pushed back five yards on a false start on first down, the Redskins got a new set of downs on back-to-back completions to Niles Paul and Maurice Harris.

Cousins would then link up with Crowder for a 33-yard gain to get the Redskins inside the 10-yard line.

On third down, Cousins evaded pressure from the Giants' defense to give himself added time to find Crowder for a 15-yard touchdown.

It is Crowder's first touchdown of the year.

Off the touchdown, the defense forced another three-and-out for the fourth time on the evening.

The Giants would tie the game with less than three minutes in the quarter, though, as a high pass to Byron Marshall wasn't secured before Janoris Jenkins intercepted the ball for a 53-yard pick-six.

After the interception, the Redskins came out running the ball through Samaje Perine for 39 yards on the first four plays of the drive. Marshall then gained eight yards on the ground before the end of the quarter.

Second Quarter: Redskins 3, Giants 3
The second frame opened up with Ryan Kerrigan's second sack of the evening on a Giants third down attempt. The takedown of Eli Manning forced the Giants out of field goal range as Brad Wing came on for his fourth punt of the night, a ball that would be downed at the five-yard line.

Washington's drive off the punt lasted just three plays, though, as Tress Way came out for his third punt of the evening.

The Giants would get the first points of the game late in the second quarter, as Eli Manning marched New York into field goal territory before Aldrick Rosas hit one through the uprights for three points.

The scoring drive went for 16 plays, highlighted by conversions on 3rd-and-15 and 4th-and-2. Linebacker Zach Brown briefly exited the game before returning for the fourth down attempt. Josh Harvey-Clemons and Zach Vigil served as the inside linebackers while Brown was sidelined.

Washington would finally get some offensive momentum before the two-minute warning, but the drive ultimately ended with another punt off the leg of Way.

On the first play of the drive Kirk Cousins found Samaje Perine for an 11-yard gain through the air before Jamison Crowder caught a pass up the middle of the field for a 38-yard gain. But three straight attempts by Cousins were incomplete before Way's punt was downed at the three-yard line.

The Giants would run three plays off the punt before giving the ball back to the Redskins. Josh Doctson would draw a key pass interference call on first down to put Washington on the New York 11-yard line. 

Nick Rose would get Washington's first points of the game and tie up the score at three with a made field goal of 28 yards to tie the game before halftime.

First Quarter: Redskins 0, Giants 0
Five days removed from giving up 18 points late against the New Orleans Saints, the Washington Redskins' defense was on the field first on Thursday night against the New York Giants.

The defensive unit was on the field for just three plays on the game's opening drive, though, as it forced a three-and-out.

Zach Vigil got the start at inside linebacker alongside Zach Brown while Deshazor Everett started in place of Montae Nicholson at safety.

Washington's offense, however, also did not register a first down on its opening drive, as a 3rd-and-inches run was thwarted.  

While New York was able to pick up a first down off Tress Way's punt, Ryan Kerrigan set the Giants back with his eighth sack of the season on second down before Eli Manning threw an incompletion on third down.

Kerrigan joins Jared Allen, Derrick Thomas, DeMarcus Ware and Reggie White as the only players in NFL history to record 7.5 sacks in each of the first seven seasons of a career since the NFL adopted sacks as an official statistic in 1982.

On their third drive of the game, the Redskins finally got the ball moving through the air, as Kirk Cousins found Jamison Crowder and Samaje Perine for back-to-back first down throws.

The Redskins did not convert on a fourth down pass inside New York territory, though, giving the ball back to the Giants.
