Before the Redskins kickoff this Sunday afternoon vs. the Atlanta Falcons, here is a look at benchmarks to keep an eye on, as compiled by Washington Redskins Public Relations.

Team:

• The Redskins gaining 109 yards to break 5,000 yards in a season for the ninth consecutive year. A ninth-straight 5,000- yard year would match the team's longest streak in team history, accomplished previously across the 1983-91 seasons.

• The Redskins posting the 25th 5,000-yard season in team history.

• The Redskins accumulating 200 rushing yards in a game for the fourth time this season, matching last year's total.

• The Redskins rushing for 130 yards to break the 2,000-yard rushing mark in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2005-06.

• The Redskins tying a team record by scoring their sixth defensive touchdown in a season for the first time since 1984. That season, Washington received defensive scores from Vernon Dean (two interception returns), Monte Coleman (interception return), Darrell Green (interception return), Darryl Grant (fumble return) and Curtis Jordan (fumble return). The team also had six defensive touchdowns in 1971 and 1973.

• The Redskins returning a fifth interception for touchdown this season to tie the team record (five in 1971).

Offense:

• Wide receiver Pierre Garçon improving upon his single-season career high in receptions (89) and receiving yards (1,017).

• Garçon catching 11 passes to become only the second Redskin to register a 100-reception season (Art Monk — 106 in 1984).

• Garçon registering five receptions to move into second behind Monk in the team record books for receptions in a single season, surpassing Santana Moss' 93 receptions in 2010.

• Running back Alfred Morris rushing for 100 yards for the 11th time in his career.

• Morris scoring two rushing touchdowns to give him 21 for his career and tie him with Andy Farkas and Gerald Riggs for 10th-most in team history.

• Morris (2,640 yards from 2012-13) chasing No. 13 Terrell Davis (2,655 in 1995-96) on the NFL's all-time list for rushing yards in a player's first two NFL seasons.

• Wide receiver Santana Moss scoring a touchdown to tie Stephen Davis for 10th-most total touchdowns in team history (48). With two touchdowns, he can tie former teammate Clinton Portis for ninth (49).

Defense:

• Linebacker London Fletcher, the NFL's active Iron Man, playing his 254th consecutive regular season game. Fletcher is one of only four players in NFL history to reach 250 consecutive games played (Jeff Feagles, Brett Favre and Jim Marshall).

• Fletcher starting his 213th consecutive regular season game, extending his record for most consecutive starts by a linebacker in NFL history.

• Cornerback DeAngelo Hall returning a fumble for a touchdown to tie Jessie Tuggle for the second-most in NFL history (five). Hall's four career fumble return touchdowns are currently tied for third in NFL history with Bill Thompson, Derrick Thomas, Keith Bulluck and Ronde Barber.

• Hall returning a fumble for a touchdown to become the first player in NFL history with five fumble returns for touchdowns and five interception returns for touchdowns.

• Hall intercepting two passes to give him 24 interceptions as a member of the Redskins, which would tie him with Ken Houston for ninth most in team history.

• Hall scoring a defensive touchdown to improve upon his team-record three defensive touchdowns this season (two via interception return, one via fumble return).

• Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan recording two sacks to match his singleseason career high (8.5) and tie Wilber Marshall for the 10th-most career sacks by a Redskin (24.5).

• Kerrigan returning an interception for a touchdown to become the first linebacker in team history to have an interception return for touchdown in three consecutive seasons.

• Linebacker Brian Orakpo posting 2.5 sacks to match his single-season career high (11.0 in 2009).

• Orakpo recording two sacks to become the fifth player in team history to register 40 sacks with the Redskins (Dexter Manley, Charles Mann, Monte Coleman and Ken Harvey).

• Cornerback Josh Wilson playing in his 100th career NFL game.

A Win Would...

… snap a five-game losing streak.

… give Washington its first road win since Week 4 at Oakland.

… be the Redskins' first victory against the Falcons since recording a 33-31 road win at the Georgia Dome on Sept. 14, 2003.

… make the Redskins 16-7-1 all-time against the Falcons, including postseason games.

… push the Redskins to 6-4-1 all-time in regular season road games against Atlanta.

… give Executive Vice President/Head Coach Mike Shanahan his 179th career victory as a head coach, including postseason games.
