Leading for much of the second half, the Redskins gave up the lead late before taking it back for good to beat the Seahawks 17-14 in Seattle.

Fourth Quarter: Redskins 17, Seahawks 14After the Redskins were quickly forced to punt to start the final frame, the Seahawks marched down the field for their first touchdown of the afternoon, a 10-yard score by Luke Wilson.

First set back by an illegal block above the waist call, the Seahawks would drive 66 yards in less than three minutes to get into the end zone. Seattle went for a two-point try to tie the game, but D.J. Swearinger intercepted Russell Wilson before the Redskins nearly returned the ball for two points of their own.

The Redskins could get little going off the Seahawks' first touchdown of the afternoon, as Cousins was sacked twice including a third down play that was originally ruled a fumble return for touchdown before the call on the field was overturned.

Tress Way's punt traveled 52 yards before the Seahawks were called for an illegal blindside block. The defense held strong on a three-and-out before the punt was downed for a touchback. On a 3rd-and-1 rush, Josh Norman held strong to hold Thomas Rawls to no gain.

After Rob Kelley started the ensuing drive with a four-yard gain on the ground, Cousins completed an 11-yard pass to Josh Doctson. However, the Redskins were pushed back 10 yards off a holding call on Vernon Davis.

Cousins would complete first and second down passes to Chris Thompson and Brian Quick before a 3rd-and-2 completion to Ryan Grant.

The Redskins were set back by a false start call and then a block in the back call, making it 2nd-and-12. Cousins would then back sacked to make it 3rd-and-18 before Chris Thompson took a handoff for five yards.

After the Seahawks burned their first timeout of the half, Way came onto the field for a punt that would be returned to the 29-yard line. 

Wilson completed one pass before the two-minute warning. 

The Seahawks would get into Redskins territory out of the break before Wilson threw for his second touchdown of the quarter, a 30-yard reception by Doug Baldwin with 1:34 left in the game. Seattle would go for two again, failing to convert once again.

The Redskins would take back the lead with 59 seconds left in the game, as Cousins completed two massive passes to Brian Quick and Josh Doctson before Rob Kelley capped off the drive with his second touchdown of the game. 

Seattle would get into Washington territory with just seconds remaining, 

Third Quarter: Redskins 10, Seahawks 2Seattle would get the ball to start the third quarter, but Washington forced a three-and-out as the Redskins held strong on an extended play by Russell Wilson on third down.

The Redskins immediately would pick up a first down, as Washington's first play of the quarter was a 13-yard gain by Terrelle Pryor Sr. Ryan Grant would add to the mix with a 23-yard reception that had 14 yards added to the end of the play off a roughing the passer call.

Washington, however, couldn't find the end zone before Nick Rose came out for his first field goal try, a kick he would convert.

Seattle started to get a little momentum going on their next drive, but that ended abruptly with Will Compton's first interception of the season.

Wilson once again scrambled to make time for a throw, but the quarterback threw it right to the Redskins' linebacker. Compton returned it for two yards.

While the offense was unable to take advantage of the turnover, Tress Way's punt was fair caught at the 13-yard line.

The Seahawks immediately tried to go deep on their first play after the punt, but D.J. Swearinger jumped up to knock the ball away. However, Seattle would get into Washington territory for the first time in the quarter before being forced to punt yet again.

On back-to-back passes, Compton nearly came away with another pick before Jon Ryan booted a punt that would be downed at the 24-yard line.  

Second Quarter: Redskins 7, Seahawks 2Despite the Seahawks getting deep into Redskins territory early in the second frame, Washington was able to hold Seattle to just a field goal attempt that Blair Walsh would miss.

Seattle was set back by penalties late on the drive before Walsh pulled his second field goal attempt of the day wide of the uprights.

The Redskins were able to get the ball moving some off the missed field goal, as Kirk Cousins completed another third down pass to Vernon Davis before Washington got into Seattle territory off another connection between the quarterback and tight end.

Cousins would once again move the ball through the air to Josh Doctson for a new set of downs at the 21-yard line. That trend would continue three plays later, as the Redskins got another first down, this time on a completion to Terrelle Pryor Sr.

After the Seahawks were called for pass interference, the Redskins were able to take their first lead of the game on a one-yard touchdown run from Rob Kelley. On the score, linebacker Ryan Anderson checked in as the fullback.  

The 13-play drive lasted nearly seven minutes. 

After holding the Seahawks to a three-and-out after the two-minute warning, Washington got the ball back was but unable to extend its lead after Cousins was sacked for a 12-yard loss on second down. 

Seattle would get the ball for one more drive before the half, setting up a field goal attempt that Walsh would miss on the final play of the quarter.

First Quarter: Redskins 0, Seahawks 2After Rob Kelley received the opening kickoff, the Redskins were only able to gain one first down before Tress Way had to punt, a kick that was nearly blocked.

On the drive, Brian Quick tallied a six-yard reception on second down. It is only the second catch on the season to date for the Appalachian State product.  

Washington's starting offensive line today is T.J. Clemmings at left tackle, Arie Kouandjio at left guard, Chase Roullier at center, Tyler Catalina at right guard and Morgan Moses at right tackle.

The Seahawks' first offensive play of the game would be an aborted play by Russell Wilson for a four-yard loss before the Redskins got off the field on a 3rd-and-16 incompletion.

Activated of the PUP list this week, DeAngelo Hall started at safety alongside D.J. Swearinger. He also lined up deep to return Seattle's first punt, but was stopped for no gain.

Washington's next drive would begin with two Samaje Perine runs before a 15-yard reception by Vernon Davis moved the chains, but Perine fumbled an exchange with Kirk Cousins on the next play. The Seahawks would recover.

Despite the turnover, the defense held strong to force a three-and-out before being forced to punt again. The ball would be downed at the six-yard line.

Washington's drive would last just one play, as Bobby Wagner went untouched to Cousins for a safety.   

The Seahawks would get into scoring territory of Way's free kick, but Blair Walsh missed a 44-yard field goal attempt. Josh Norman recorded a beautiful pass defensed on the drive while Anthony Lanier II has stepped his game up early with two quarterback hits.

Before the quarter ended, Kendall Fuller recorded his third interception of the season, timing a slant route perfectly to jump it and give the ball back to the offense.
