The Washington Redskins announced March 17 they have re-signed defensive tackle Cedric Killings.
Killings, 6-2 and 290 pounds, is a three-year veteran out of Carson-Newman. He signed with the Redskins as a free agent in December 2004. Last season, Killings played in 10 games with one start and recorded 17 tackles (10 solo).
Killings entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the San Francisco 49ers in 2000, recording 18 tackles (12 solo) and three sacks as a rookie.
During his career, he has also spent time on the rosters of Carolina and Minnesota. He has also had a stint in NFL Europe with the Rhein Fire.
