The Redskins announced Oct. 9 that they have designated linebacker Johnny Baldwin as an Injured Practice Squad Player and re-signed linebacker Curtis Gatewood to their practice squad.

Baldwin was signed to the practice squad on Sept. 24, following the release of Gatewood.

Gatewood originally signed with Washington on May 2, 2007 as a college free agent and spent the entire training camp with the Redskins. He was released on August 30, but was signed to the Redskins' practice squad the following day on August 31.
