The Washington Redskins announced March 25 that they have re-signed offensive lineman Jason Fabini. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Fabini, 6-7, 309 pounds, has provided tremendous leadership and depth over his 10 NFL seasons.
During his first season in Washington in 2007, Fabini played a key role appearing in all 16 regular season games with 13 starts and one postseason contest. He filled in at right guard after Randy Thomas went down with an injury.
Prior to joining the Redskins he spent one season (2006) with Dallas and eight (1998-2005) with the New York Jets. During his career, he has played in 145 regular season games with 127 starts.
Fabini was originally selected by the Jets in the fourth round (111th overall) of the 1998 NFL Draft after attending the University of Cincinnati.
He was a three-time All Conference USA selection and was a co-captain while starting every game at left tackle as a senior.
