The Washington Redskins announced March 15 that they have re-signed tight end Todd Yoder. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. Yoder is a key reserve and contributor on the special teams unit for the Redskins.
Yoder, 6-4 and 262 pounds, is a seven-year veteran who played in 14 games for the Redskins in 2006. He recorded one reception for a four-yard touchdown from Jason Campbell against Tampa Bay on No. 19. In addition, he tallied nine special teams tackles.
Yoder began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2000. During his career he has played in 87 games with 10 starts and tallied 29 receptions for 304 yards and three touchdowns.
Yoder attended Vanderbilt University where he was a four-year letterman. He posted 80 career receptions for 1,267 yards and eight touchdowns.
