The Redskins released the team's final cuts on Saturday evening, solidifying the 53-man roster for next week's season opener against the Chicago Bears at FedExField.
Among the final cuts: wide receivers Kevin Dyson and Jimmy Farris, punter Chris Mohr, defensive end Ron Warner and linebacker Robert McCune.

The biggest surprise of the day was undrafted rookie linebacker Zak Keasey earning a roster spot. He beat out fifth-round draft pick Robert McCune and second-year player Brandon Barnes for the final roster spot at linebacker.
Keasey impressed coaches all offseason with his hustle and he was solid in preseason play both at middle linebacker and special teams.
McCune, a fifth-round draft pick out of Louisville, was the second Redskins draft pick to be released by the team. Previously the team released sixth-rounder Jared Newberry, also a linebacker.
First-year player Andy Groom won the punting job, essentially beating 16-year veteran Chris Mohrn in a one-game punt-off in last Thursday's preseason finale against Baltimore. Groom will also serve as the team's holder.
In addition, Rock Cartwright and seventh-round draft pick Nehemiah Broughton both made the roster.
It appears that Nic Clemons beat out fourth-year veteran Ron Warner and rookie Aki Jones for the final spot on the defensive line. Clemons has spent the last two seasons on the Redskins practice squad.
In the secondary, 9-year veteran safety Omar Stoutmire earned a roster spot, beating out defensive backs Eric Joyce and Siddeeq Shabazz.
All NFL teams were required to reduce their rosters to the NFL-mandated 53 players by 6 p.m. on Saturday.
On Sunday, teams can name an eight-member practice squad of players who can work out with the team during the regular season but not be eligible to play in any games.
It's likely that several Redskins players released on Saturday will return on the practice squad.
Coaches were huddled in meetings most of Friday and Saturday, reviewing players and preparing the list of cuts.
Said head coach Joe Gibbs: "It's a tough time for us. I think cutting players is one of the biggest struggles you have as a coach. You watch guys labor, work and fight all camp, and you know how important it is to them. Certainly we know how important it is and that's why we spend so much time in meetings."
