"We appreciate all the effort and hard work that these players gave to us during the offseason program and the preseason," Washington Redskins Executive Vice President of Football Operations Vinny Cerrato said. "These final cuts are always a very difficult decision because we had a lot of quality football players in our training camp. We're excited about the 53 guys we have on our roster and we are ready to move forward in preparation for our game this week against the New York Giants. We hope the opportunity presents itself to enable us to sign a number of these players to our practice squad."
