The Washington Redskins announced Aug. 24 that they have released safety Vernon Fox, defensive tackle Babatunde Oshinowo and defensive end Dorian Smith,
Fox spent the last two seasons with Washington, playing in 30 games, with six starts, and amassing 44 tackles, one interception and three passes defensed. Prior to joining the Redskins, Fox had played two seasons with both Detroit (2004-05) and San Diego (2002-03).
Oshinowo was signed by the Redskins on July 29, 2008, while Smith was re-signed to the team on August 12.
