The Washington Redskins announced April 27 that they have selected defensive end Rob Jackson in the seventh-round (242nd overall) in the 2008 NFL Draft.
This selection represents the Redskins ninth pick of the 2008 NFL Draft, and their second compensatory selection.
Jackson (6-4, 259 pounds) played two seasons for Kansas State and started 23 of 25 career games. He finished his Wildcats' career with 61 tackles (35 solo), and 6.5 sacks.
In 2007, Jackson recorded 25 tackles (13 solo) and 4.5 sacks. He appeared in 12 games.
After graduating from West Haven High School in Connecticut, Jackson enrolled at Fort Scott Community College where he was a two-time All-Jayhawk Conference first-team defense selection.
