In the final round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins selected Virginia Tech cornerback Greg Stroman and SMU wide receiver Trey Quinn.
In the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins selected cornerback Greg Stroman with the 241st pick and wide receiver Trey Quinn with the 256th pick, the final selection in the entire draft.
Stroman is the team's second Virginia Tech defensive selection of the day. He joins fellow Hokie and No. 163 pick Tim Settle in Washington's 2018 draft class.
As a senior in Blacksburg, Stroman earned first-team all-conference honors with 20 tackles, four interceptions and 11 pass breakups, as well as an honorable mention selection as a punt return specialist with 35 returns for 397 yards and two touchdowns.
The Bristow, Va., native also played high school football with Settle for Stonewall Jackson's program, additionally competing as a quarterback.
Stroman is as a natural athlete, will bring quickness and agility to the Redskins' secondary.
Quinn joins the Redskins out of Southern Methodist University, having previously played at LSU.
In his single season with the Mustangs, Quinn earned first-team All-American Athletic Conference honors by leading the nation with 114 receptions, gaining 1,236 yards and scoring 13 times. He also set records in high school, catching a state-record 357 passes for a national-best 6,566 yards and 70 touchdowns.
