Redskins fans came out in droves for the fifth consecutive year as Washington set the NFL's all-time home paid attendance record again last season, drawing 707,920 fans.

Thanks to the 91,665-seat FedExField, the largest in the NFL, the Redskin topped the list averaging 88,490 fans for eight home games. Coming in second were the New York Giants (629,874) followed by the Kansas City Chiefs (623,264) and New York Jets (622,985).

Of the 32 NFL teams, only 12 drew more than 1.1 million in paid attendance for both home and away games. The Redskins were on top of that list as well, bringing in 1,238,813 fans.

The NFL as a whole set multiple all-time attendance records last year:

• Paid attendance for all games was 21,708,624, which was almost a 70,000 increase from the previous season. It marked the third year in a row-and only the third time in league history-that the 21-million paid attendance mark was reached.

• The 2004 NFL regular-season total paid attendance was 17,000,811, with an average of 66,409 per game. Both were all-time NFL records.
