The Washington Redskins announced Sept. 1 that they have signed wide receiver Devin Aromashodu (a-RÅ¿M-a-sho-du) to their practice squad.
The 6-2, 200-pound Miami native was in training camp with the Indianapolis Colts before being released on Saturday.
Indianapolis signed Aromashodu from Houston's practice squad on Nov. 14, 2007. He went on to play in the club's final six regular season contests last season, including one start, totaling seven catches for 96 yards on the year. He also played in the Colts' Divisional Round Playoff loss to San Diego, where he had one reception for 13 yards.
The 24-year-old Aromashodu spent the 2006 season with Indianapolis' practice squad after being waived following training camp by Miami, where he was originally a seventh-round draft choice that season.
The former Auburn standout was a teammate of current Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell and cornerback Carlos Rogers from 2003-05.
