The Redskins have brought back wide receiver/kick return specialist Brandon Banks to the team's practice squad.
Banks, a rookie out of Kansas State, was on the active roster the first two weeks of the regular season.
He was released by the team last Saturday to make room for running back Ryan Torain.
Banks, 5-7 and 150 pounds, earned a roster spot after a stellar preseason.
On offense, he caught eight passes for 129 yards.
On special teams, he returned seven punts for a 15.4-yard average, including a 77-yard return for a touchdown against Buffalo on Aug. 13. He had three kickoff returns for a 24.7-yard average.
