The Redskins added to their defensive line on Tuesday with the signing of Jordan Hill. Tight end Niles Paul, meanwhile, has been placed on Injured Reserve.
The Washington Redskins announced on Tuesday that they have signed veteran defensive lineman Jordan Hill to the active roster.

In a corresponding move, tight end Niles Paul has been placed on Injured Reserve. The team also signed defensive back Lee Hightower to the practice squad.
Hill, 25, is a veteran of four NFL seasons after being drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
For his career, the Penn State product has collected 50 tackles with seven sacks, five passes defensed and an interception.
Hill made his NFL debut on Oct. 6, 2013, registering two sacks against the Indianapolis Colts before recorded three tackles and a half-sack the next week against the Tennessee Titans.
In Week 15 of his rookie season, Hill recorded his first full-sack, taking down New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning in a 23-0 shutout.
Hill's production increased during his second season, as he appeared in 13 games and tallied 19 tackles along with a career-high 5.5 sacks.
During Seattle's last four games of the season, Hill collected 4.5 sacks – two of which came against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 16 – along with an interception off St. Louis Rams quarterback Shaun Hill.
Last season, Hill appeared in 10 games and recorded a career-high 24 tackles.
Hill appeared to be in line for a starting spot with the Seahawks this season, but was waived with an injury designation in September.
As the Redskins look for strong play out of the defensive line rotation down the stretch, Hill joins Chris Baker, Ziggy Hood, Matt Ioannidis, Cullen Jenkins, Ricky Jean Francois and Anthony Lanier II.
Paul, meanwhile, was placed on Injured Reserve after suffering a shoulder injury in overtime of Washington's 27-27 tie with the Cincinnati Bengals on Oct. 30.
His loss is a big blow to not only the offense where he was splitting time between tight end and fullback, but special teams as well. He was named special teams captain prior to the start of the regular season.
The Redskins have plenty of players ready to step up in his absence, but that doesn't make his loss any easier.
"Just another leader, another captain, his intensity, his fire, his passion for the game, that's things you can't replace," tackle Morgan Moses said. "Having these guys being able to be around still makes a big deal as well."
Jordan Reed and Vernon Davis, of course, have been the Redskins' top receiving threats at the tight end position this year and they could soon be joined by Derek Carrier on game days.
Carrier returned to practice on Monday after spending the first two months on the Physically Unable to Perform list after suffering a torn ACL and MCL last December.
The Redskins have 21 days to make a decision about his status for the active roster.
