The Washington Redskins announced June 6 they have signed wide receiver Kevin Dyson. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Dyson, 6-2 and 212 pounds, has appeared in 59 games with 54 starts in his seven-year career in the NFL. He has amassed 2,325 yards on 178 catches and 18 scores in regular season play. Dyson has also played in two Super Bowls and totaled eight catches for 82 yards during the postseason.
Dyson spent the first five years of his career with the Tennessee Titans, most notably scoring the "Music City Miracle" touchdown in the 1999 AFC Wild Card playoff game. He signed with Carolina for the 2003 season and San Diego in 2004, but was released prior to the start of the regular season.
Dyson left Utah as the all-time leader with 192 receptions and ranked second with 2,726 receiving yards and fourth with 18 touchdowns. He was MVP of the 1998 Senior Bowl.
