The Washington Redskins are taking on the Philadelphia Eagles at FedExField to close out the season. Check out a running list of the highlights from the game.
After the Eagles opened up the game by forcing a turnover, the Redskins got one right back. It was safety Deshazor Everett, who was taking on a larger role in Week 17, intercepting Philadelphia quarterback Nick Foles. The pick was Everett's first of the season.
The Redskins offense struggled to get much going at the beginning of the game. However, quarterback Josh Johnson and wide receiver Josh Doctson were able to capture a little momentum on this 20-yard connection.
Defensively, the Redskins were able to put pressure on the Eagles in the first half, getting to quarterback Nick Foles multiple times. Linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton got in on the party, recording his first full sack of his young career.
Despite some strong effort, a long drive by Philadelphia in the second quarter helped the away team ahead into halftime with a 10-0 advantage.
Really, what can't Tress Way do? The punter took a break from downing punts inside the 20 to pull off a perfectly executed fake punt. Throwing for seven yards to wide receiver Jehu Chesson, Way and the Redskins were able to extend the offensive drive.
An overall tough second half for the Redskins saw the final game of the regular season come to a close with the Eagles picking up a 24-0 victory.
