The Redskins and the Virginia Lottery unveiled the "$50,000,000 Redskins Mania" scratch ticket on Monday in a press conference at Redskins Park.

The scratch ticket is part of a new partnership between the Redskins and the Virginia Lottery.

Fans can purchase the Redskins Mania scratch ticket at nearly 5,000 Virginia Lottery retail outlets beginning Aug. 3, coinciding with the start of NFL football season.

Fans can also purchase tickets during Redskins Training Camp from Aug. 3-8 at Redskins Park.

Profits from the Redskins Mania tickets will go to Virginia public schools.

"We are thrilled to offer this unique game experience to lottery players," Virginia Lottery executive director Paula I. Otto said. "In addition, we look forward to reaching some new potential customers through the power of the Redskins brand.

"This game is a win-win for the Virginia Lottery and the Washington Redskins, as we expect this ticket to generate millions in profits for public schools."

Added Redskins chief operating officer Mitch Gershman: "This is an exciting partnership that allows Redskins fans the unique opportunity to win once-in-a-lifetime Redskins experiences, game tickets and other team-related prizes for the first time ever.

"We're proud to be able to contribute to the creation of new revenue for Virginia's public schools through a fun ticket like Redskins Mania."

The scratch ticket, one of the first to be launched by a state lottery and an NFL team, offers football and lottery fans alike the chance to instantly win from $20 to $1 million by scratching to win.

The "Redskins Mania" ticket will also include a second chance drawing feature in which players can enter non-winning tickets at www.valottery.com for the chance to win Redskins VIP experiences.

Here are some VIP experiences available as part of Redskins Mania:

• Pairs of Redskins Premium Club tickets for 20 years at FedExField
• VIP away game travel with the team to Dallas, on the team plane and team bus, as the Redskins take on the Cowboys in Dallas on Nov. 22, 2009
• Pairs of Redskins Premium Club tickets for the 2010 season at FedExField
• Watch a Redskins home game in a FedExField luxury suite with 19 of your favorite friends
• Watch a private Redskins practice from the sidelines
• Once-in-a-lifetime chance to join the Redskins team roster as a "Player For a Day"

Other prizes include Redskins Premium Club seats for 2009 games, autographed helmets by the player of your choice, $500 Redskins gift cards and official game-worn jerseys.

Redskins Mania tickets are $20 and the cash prizes offered are similar to other Virginia Lottery tickets at that price point.

The odds of winning $1 million are 1 in 1,305,600. The odds of winning any cash prize are 1 in 2.78.

Odds of winning the Redskins second-chance prizes are based on the number of entries.

The chances of winning a prize through the Redskins Mania ticket are in no way related to the team's performance on the field.

Fans who are finalists for the second-chance drawing for the Dallas trip will learn the results on the field at halftime of the Redskins-Eagles game on Oct. 26.

Similarly, fans finalists for the 20 Years of Season Tickets prizes will learn the result on the field at halftime of the Redskins-Giants game on Dec. 21, 2009.

Redskins-Virginia Lottery Prize Overview

Season Tickets for 20 Years:

Eight (8) winners starting with the 2010 NFL pre-season and expiring at the conclusion of the 2029 NFL regular season will each receive two premium club seats (in the "Club A" seating area of the Club Level at FedExField) and one orange parking pass to all preseason and regular season home games at FedExField.

VIP Fly-Away with the Team to Dallas:

Ten (10) winners and a guest each will travel round-trip on the team plane, local travel on the team bus, hotel accommodations in the team hotel and two tickets to the game. Each winner can bring one guest (at least 18 years old) and will receive $1,000 in spending money.

Season Tickets:

Numerous winners will receive premium club seats (in the "Club A" seating area of the Club Level at FedExField) and one orange parking pass to all 2010 pre-season and regular-season home games at FedExField.

Individual Game Tickets:

Numerous winners will receive premium club seats (in the "Club A" seating area of the Club Level at FedExField), one orange parking pass, and $500 in spending money to various games.

Authentic Redskins Helmet Signed by Player of Winner's Choice:

How the VIP Trips to Dallas Prize Will be Awarded:

Ten VIP trips to Dallas will be given away during an on-field halftime event at the Oct. 26 Eagles game. Twelve entry finalists (plus one guest) will be brought to the game, sit in Club Seat A section, receive $500 in spending money and come on field during halftime. At this time, 10 finalists will win the VIP trip to Dallas. The two participants who do not win will receive four tickets to the Dec. 27 Redskins vs. Cowboys game (club seats in the A section) and $1,000 in spending money. How the Season Tickets for 20 Years Prize Will be Awarded:
