Report: Center Wisniewski Visits With Redskins

The team has not confirmed news of the visit.

Drafted out of Penn State in the second-round of the 2011 NFL Draft, Wisniewski has started all 61 games in which he has appeared with the Oakland Raiders.

Last season, Wisniewski appeared in all 16 games at center for the Raiders, providing rookie quarterback Derek Carr not only with protection – he was sacked just 24 times – but a steadying veteran presence with each hike.

Wisniewski also has experience at guard, where he started as a rookie, winning Rookie of the Week honors in Week 3 that year after helping pave the way for more than 230 rushing yards.

Wisniewski's visit comes at a time when the Redskins are looking to beef up their offensive line, which is now under the tutledge of first-year position coach Bill Callahan.

At center, the Redskins return Kory Lichtensteiger to the roster after the Bowling Green product was the named the full-time starter in 2014 after spending his first few seasons with the team at guard.
