In the past two seasons – his first two as a starter in the NFL – Galette has combined for 95 tackles, 22 sacks, four forced fumbles and set a Saints franchise record in 2014 by forcing two safeties.

Galette was signed with New Orleans as a college free agent in 2010 and immediately became a fixture on the team's special teams units while working on his skills as a pass rusher. He appeared in four regular-season games in his rookie season, recording two tackles and four stops on special teams, and the next season, he appeared in all 16 regular-season games, earning the first 4.5 sacks of his career – including two sacks of Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler.

He played in 12 games with one start in 2012, registering 22 tackles with five sacks, including two against the Kansas City Chiefs. The next season, he blossomed in his first year as a starter, setting career highs in tackles (50), sacks (12), passes defensed (3) and fumble recoveries (2) in 16 games for the Saints, and was named to the 2013 USA Today "All-Joe" team.

Last season, Galette continued his development as a pass rusher. Voted a defensive captain by his teammates, he recorded a career-best 58 tackles with 10 sacks, one pass defensed and three forced fumbles, and also set a New Orleans record by forcing two safeties. He was named the NFC's Week 9 Defensive Player of the Week after recording two sacks on Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton.

Galette, who was born in Port Au Prince, Haiti, and prepped at St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, N.J.) High School, played 31 games in three seasons at Temple, recording 139 tackles with 16.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and a blocked punt for the Owls. As a junior, his final season with Temple, he was named Second-Team All-Mid-American Conference after posting 7.5 sacks.

He would transfer to Division II Stillman for his senior season in college, where he earned second-team All-American honors after recording 56 tackles and 9.5 sacks.

According to Breer, Galette will visit with Redskins team officials and take a physical at their training camp headquarters in Richmond on Thursday.
